Alright lads, Hope ive put this in the correct place :crying:
Im thinking of gettin myself an s3
Now the S3 im looking at is already modified to 290 bhp mark
Its got front mount, map, induction, plugs, exhaust, blow off valve.
Was wondering if anyone else on here had roughly the same mods..
If so what sort of MPG you guys are looking at?
Eg
MPG: ..
Miles per full tank: ...
oo also can you not whether this is motor way runs or dotting round the doors! Or even combind!
Cheers in advance!! :w00t::w00t::w00t:

not entirely related to your question, but don't be fooled into paying a high price for it because it's '290bhp' as unless it'd had a turbo upgrade, it simply isn't.

260-270 absolute max is a bit more like it.

You should see 30mpg+ on a run easily most people see mid-high 20's around town

if your worried about MPG you should be looking for another car !

VW polo maybe?

Mine is standard other than a remap and in this cold weather i am getting an average of 28mpg, warmer weather average is 30mpg.

£65ish to fill her up and that gets me about 310-320 miles before the petrol light comes on.

22mpg around town, 30mpg mainly motorways, 25mpg average mixed driving, which is what I usually get per tank with brim to brim figures. I'm running AmD Stage 1 remap.

at the end of the day its a 1.8 engine and it wont be that thursty, if you want good mpg get a diesel

Im not "worried" about mpg, i was simply wondering what i should be expecting from the car. If i was "worried" about mpg id not be buying a t/c car

24.2 over the last 1342.4 miles and I have a heavy right foot.

I ran an M3 for 4 years and that drank fuel. The S3 averages 30mpg. Mine has stage one remap.

yes but wheel size has a effect on mpg so Standard apart from remap makes sence

I get 300 mile to a tank and I don`t hang about. Just got 320 but been going off boost for miles in slow traffic in the snow :(

18 mpg combined, never been any better, hoping things may improve with a remap.

wow, that's really bad. If that's real world accurate, I'd try to find out why BEFORE you spend money on a remap only to learn you have something else going on more worthy of your $$$$$ to addre$$.

I drive a mile and a half to work every day so that's probably it, I have no faults on 5051 and I serviced it not so long ago but it's a technicians car and generally we hate working on our own.

1.5miles one way? The car would barely get upto temps! No wonder your are getting 18mpg.

Ii have an AMD remap panel filter and forge dv. running 260hp drove for 2hours today on the motorway sitting on 90 mannaged 24.6 mpg around town i get about 19mpg but i do like to redline it.

Totally standard S3. Averaged 29.2 over the last 1000 miles which included a track day! not too bad :)
Though i do travel largely on motorways where i have got 35mpg before!

ok now i wish i had a s3 instead of a a3 im only gettin 29mpg out of a standard a3
