Ok sounds that fitting heated seats is easy if you have them? kufatec say that most recaro air bag seats have the heat mats fitted at factory but i have a 8H sport 2003 with leather are they fitted to these? would like to know just in case i come across a climate with the switches!
now that would be worth finding out....can't believe whoever ordered mine paid for elecitric leather then was too tight to pay for heated LOL
Sounds like a new retro is about to start!
[Also if you have leather how do you find out if they have the pads fitted already? /QUOTE]
Hopfully it is the 2 spare plugs that arnt being used that are underneath like on mine.
It's certainly nice to have these at the present time! I only normally turn mine up to (3) as (6) just burns.....

re: insurers - not sure what I'd tell them: "hi, I got a ex-VAG electrician, who is still working privately as a VAG specialist auto-electrician, to replace my worn steering wheel with another, slightly more modern Audi part."
Lostbok -> I understand but its an aftermarket fit to the B6 so all I wanted to know was if anyone has informed there insurance company of the change just incase they were ever involved in an accident, as you well know insurance companies try to wriggle out using any excuse just thought this could be one.
