Hi...at present i have the Revo stage1....and looking to go a step further in Feb, but do not know what route to go.....I was thinking Milltek TB & uprated fuelpump & Revo software upgrade....or do i go for exhaust and intake and software upgrade?

I,m not wanting to go to Stage 2+ cause i don't want to have to uprate the clutch etc.

Cheers Craig.

Any thing over stage one is going to need a new clutch sooner than later.

leave it be or go the full, stage 2+ exhaust, pump,DV etc

True. Even with stage 1 the standard clutch can cave in. I got over 340bhp with Milltek and Forge intake on the standard fuel pump (with Revo) but my clutch soon went. Anything less than 2+ on these engines is wasted potential but you will need the clutch doing

if anyone is interested in sachs clutch, see group buy section 900+VAT! deadline next week.

It's only a matter of time, my clutch slipped for the first time the other week :banghead:

How many miles have you done since the Stage2+ was installed Decked?

Since stage 2+ I've done about 4K.... But the car has only done just over 9K (hard miles though).

Davie on here got a sachs clutch £600 to the door

I bought mine from sachs, i didnt purchase the single mass flywheel though, just the clutch. the groupbuy is for the kit with a single mass flywheel. £900 is quite a good price for the kit including the flywheel. I just didnt want to go down the single mass flywheel route as it cause more noise and can cause problems with selecting gears. the clutch kit from sachs is more than suitable for stage 2+, if you were to go stage 3 e.g. gt28 or gt30 turbo then maybe i would consider the single mass as the torque would be a good bit more than stage 2+ just my opinion obviosuly.

Cheers mate for clearing that up. Ye am going to get the full kit and single mass flywheel, run it in then get a hybrid turbo from FR&RTuning, who will get it done from turbo dynamics but obviously at a cheaper price than what TD will offer it to the general public for. Il setup a group buy for hybrid/ bigger upgrades soon. Cant wait for 530nm torque on my f1s :p

At Stage 1 you are close to the limit of the clutch already.

And TBH, if you go for Stage 2 it will only be a matter of time before the bug bites again and you want 2+ !:racer:

So, IMHO, go straight for Stage 2+ and budget for clutch and DMF.

Good luck

Paul

How do you know when the clutch slips? Is it like a miss-shift when you change gears?

Sorry to hijack, but this could be benificial to other people wishing to Mod...

You get a bit of revs before the clutch bites (revs rise without going faster)
