Hello,

Yesterday I fitted the new Headlight Protectors to my Car.

I know some of you have mixed opinions, but they look fine and as long as they do their job then hey ho...

When cleaning the headlights prior to fitting, I did notice a handful of small stone chips on the unit so I'm sure it will ensure there are no more.
When I say small, I mean very small and only noticed when really looking.

If anyone is interested in seeing the pictures then please let me know and I'll get some up on the next few days.

Anyone else considered them or already have them?

Andy.

Yeah some pictures would be good. How much did they set you back, did you get them from the dealer and how easy were they to fit???

Cheers

Andy

They were dead easy to fit - I bought them from Dave Stoke Audi - On here...

£35 Inc.

I'll get some pictures done and let you know.

Cheers Fella.

I can understand the reason as those headlights are very rich, but certainly adds no looks to the car, maybe takes some away, lol, but guess £35 is better than £600+

Thats exactly my thinking.

I've had a few headlights go over the years from motorway carnage.

Andy, could you post some pictures from infront of the car with the full bonnet in shot and also a side/front view so i can get a look of the whole car wearing the protectors. For £35 could be worth the investment but not sure how they will look.

Cheers

Yeah, sure - I'll post tomorrow PM.

Cheers.

Hi

I did not consider this option but cleaning/washing it would be a nightmare as it would involve, bonnet opening, removing it & wiping.

Why not consider lamin-x adhesive film protectors which in my opinion does the job & not so obvious.

Anyone got comments on this option?

Les

I had headlight protectors on my Passat, but they only lasted about a month.

As Les has said above, it was a complete pain having to take them off to clean the headlight behind them.

Each to their own though

If you get them make sure they are on very securely....I have lost two nearside ones on my B6 (one brand new, the 2nd off e-bay).....the offside one has stayed on very well...
