I don't know about anyone else but i still expect a bonus at the end of the year. I've been with this company for almost 3 years now, i started March '07 and 9 months later i got a bonus. Both years since then i've had nothing now even though we've worked our absolute ars*s off and NOTHING!!!
I know there is a credit crunch on but he's taking in lots of money (and it's being spent on his garden) but surely you'd be due something!!

Am i expecting too much??

My wife got a Christmas Bonus. An extra £10 because she is 62 and already receives a state pension. Although I'm the same age I've got to wait another 3 years before I get mine! Still I've got plenty of time to plan what I'm going to spend it on.

I got a bonus this year of £400, which was split into 2 pay slips (had last half on 22nd Dec), so I guess you could call that my Christmas bonus. ;)

I got a letter today notifying I would get £588.74 paid into my account but it was expenses - still at least it felt like a bonus!

I'm not an MP BTW. :)

we know you'd need another 0 on the end of that figure to be an MP

no bonus for me this year either there excuss was they have had to put to much money in to the business this year!lol

Exactly the same, the company is getting bigger and has to expand but they've not said anything about a bonus what so ever. Just annoys me!

My bonus is I will still have a job in the new year, no pay rise this year and no chance next year as my boss has fallen out with and just lost my biggest customer That was worth £1.2 mil a year turnover and there's talks of a 15% paycut next year as things will be tight

my employer held everyone's review and said that pay is frozen due to the recession, then 2 months later announced that they have purchased another company for 5 million quid! Nice.

Sounds like the other Halfs company, they made her redundent 2weeks before the end of year figures as they said times were hard and then posted a 7 million profit, 1 director gave himself a 140k pay rise and another 40k rise and then purchased a load of Audi A6 company cars for department managers that never leave the office.

I'm currently making a loss in December, but if I'm lucky, I will break even... this is due to paying bonuses to my hard working staff, and believe me, they do work hard for me, but it's been a poor month for trade compared to previous years.

I wonder if in 3 years time Dave, a tenner can still buy you 2 gallons of diesel?

Im doing agency work, my bonus this year is telling the boss I wont work Christmas eve :) (first time Ive had it off)

How to go from :yahoo: to  to :sob: in one week.
The story goes:

Chapter 1: The :yahoo:
Got a nice xmas bonus.

Chapter 2: The
Last few days the company has made a MASSIVE loss.

Chapter 3: The :sob:
Before xmas 2009 has even arrived we already know there will be no bonus for xmas 2010.

I got a crate of beer, a bottle of scotch and 2 bottles of wine.

Not sure if I got a bonus in my wages (not looked at my payslip) but I doubt it.

(I sell cars for a living)

Sounds familiar...

Worked for the same company for 10 years now and it's the first time we haven't had a bonus, yet we have all worked harder than ever !!

A load of ***** really.

we normally have a xmas do, which i never go to as the office is based in kent and i live in herts.
this didnt happen this year, instead we all got a £40 hamper from john lewis instead.
also got a crate of beer and naked women calender from my wholesalers.

but main thing is i still have a job to go back to on the 4th

well this time last year i was made redundant from the building trade due to us having no work things have turned round now i am back full time with the same company i got a 200 quid bonus and even if we dont get another contract which is very unlikely we are guaranteed 2 years work happy days so now i am looking to sell my car and buy something newer. a very merry christmas to you all
