Quick question please. Does anyone have one of these that they got as part of the storage back? Does it have a part no on?

Had a quick search but, my fixing points seem different and the anchor points in the boot dont seem to fold like they do in the golf.

Photos would be appreciated of the fixing points you have and the luggage net laid flat on boot (found one of is up against back seats).

Thanks in advance.

I have a luggage net as part of my storage kit but I also have a copy of the Parts Catalogue (ETKA) and the part numbers are:

For the actual net itself - 8P0 861 869A 01c

For the plastic clips that attach the net to the chrome fixings in the luggage area 8P0 861 849 01C

If I can remember where I've put the net, I'll put it in the car and take some photos.

Now where did I put that net!!! - Memory not as good as it used to be - must be getting old!

Uh Dave, have you reliquished your hat back to asn?

Just out of interest how do you go about getting the ETKA catalogue??

Work in the parts department at Audi :ninja:

or alternatively purchase a copy on eBay, load it on to your computer and teach yourself how to use it. Personally I've always found it very interesting and helpful. Regular updates can be found on a website in the US.

If you want to know more drop me a PM.

Great thanks.

If you're not using your net would you be interested in selling it? Only I specced the boot storage which included the net and 12v socket and it wasnt on the car when delivered.

If you are able to take a photo of the fixings that are in the car with location that would be great.

I was about to bid on a net on ebay but, the chrome fixings seem to swivel or drop down. whereas in mine they are fixed and vertical (if that makes sense)

Does the storage pack include the little hangers that you could hang your take-away curry bag on and prevent it falling over. Always thought that was cool on the RS4.

Yes.

Mine has a couple of hooks at either side of the boot quite high up. This is for the storage net to be fixed so that its up against the back seats I believe (as opposed to being laid flat on the floor).

According to Audi website

Storage pack
XXL.jpg

- comprising: cargo nets on back of front seats, storage compartment under driver’s seat, compartment in glovebox, cargo net on side of centre console, net and bag hooks under luggage compartment cover
Luggage pack
XXL.jpg

- comprising: combi-net for fixing into luggage compartment and 12V socket in boot

and I've just realised why my luggage pack isnt on the car. Seems as though you can't have both on the configurator. How dumb is that?

You may not be able to have both on the configurator but you can certainly order both with a new car. I did and have both on my A3.

The dealer should be able to go through all the options. The configuarator is only there to play with on the website and not for ordering a car. It's often not quite right in what it tells you. I think it looses something in the translation from German and from the German to the UK specs!!!

Better late than never...

I have now found my luggage net and I've taken a couple of pictures of the net itself and the fixings on the net to attach it to the car. The fixings in the car are small vertical chrome pieces, one in each corner of the luggage area. They are hidden in my car at the moment because I have added some packing pieces supplied by Audi to raise the floor level to accommodate my full size spare in place of the space-saver.

Anyway here are the pictures...

Any chance seeing these chrome pieces as the 8L had sprung loaded ones that were flush with the floor or sides as such, cant recall which but were certainly alot better than current ones I have, but the 8P has the fixed standing ones, talk about going backwards.

On my SE Sportback the vertical fixings in the luggage area are in fact Black and each one has it's own little recess in the side panels so they do not interfere in any way with the main luggage area.

I'm reluctant to take out the extra packing I've added to allow for the full size spare as when it was first fitted it gave a sort of rattle sound in the back. After trying various different solutions the rattle just disappeared when I had three passengers sitting in the back and has not come back since!

I just had a look around at the pictures on my computer and found one of the luggage area of my 2004 A3. It clearly shows one of the luggage net retainers and it's recess in the side panel. The other one is behind the spare oil bag. This is a 3-door model. My latest Sportback has a small netted recess near the 12v socket for the oil bag etc.

Thought that too, along with the parcel shelf connectors that you retro fitted to the 8L version.

I don't think the connectors for the net in the 8P are a backward step. They are different but work just as well and do not get in the way at all.

My net which was out of my 2004 a3 looks slightly different there are hooks on the end. Do you puch the fastner in and turn half a turn on yours?

I've never actually used it, but looking at the clips and the retaining rings in the car, I sure that's how it works.

Thanks for posting these. As suspected Audi seem to have changed the fixings.

Are you interested in selling your net? Let me know if you are as I'm desperate to get hold of one without paying Audi prices.

Cheers

Anyone got one of these that they dont need and would like to sell?

Has to be with fixings as per the pics below.

thanks in advance.

....and if anyone has one for sale can you PM me please? Still haven't got round to getting one

Hi - resurrecting this thread but was wondering if anyone knew the cost of the components from Audi and any pics as the ones on here have disappeared. Thanks
