I have been having difficulty with getting the pics straight onto the thread, so i have had to provide these links (sorry)

I collected the car last thursday and these pics were taken the next morning, i literally just rinsed the car with water so its not exactly detailed like most of the pics on here, also i apologise for the amateur pics.

The car is just amazing, i think there are alot of improvements over my 07 S3, the ride just feels better and more solid, and the power seems smoother in a good way, gonna be getting it REVO'd in jan

There are some parts to the facelift l do like, DRLs, air splitter and indicators in the wing mirrors that arent on the 08 model that l have. Where you located JB as lve seen a few going about recently.
 
West yorkshire mate, im gonna get the car detailed and post more pics on the pictures section.

I have been beeped at by a few young lads already who have proceeded to wind there windows down and tell me how nice it is, lol
 
That car is nice, infact it's very nice! I'm West Yorkshire also mate, so if I see you around i'll give you a beep :)
 
Ha no worries mate, thanks, its been like an SAS operation for the past week avioding grit machines, loving it though - the back doors have been put to very good use already its so much easier with the 4 doors, the open sky sunroof really sets the car off i think

If you wanted 'fun and games' in the back you should have got an a4/a6 avant for that! You could fit a mattress in :moa:

Yeah, the sky sunrook looks so nice! I tried to persuade my friend to get one on his new A3, but he wasn't having it, I can see why, they aint cheap, but do look good.

Did you get it new?
 
About time Johnny! Thought you dissapeared! lol. Car looks amazing mate and those seats:yahoo:haha. How weird how I'm in West Yorkshire too :) Post more pics of interior mate!
 
Ok will do, in fact i will wash the car tonight, take a few more pics and put some more on tomorrow, what exactly do you want to see of the interior? more of the seats?

Yeah its a brand new 59 plate, collected it last thursday but i have been extremely busy at work and im also a bit of a moron when it comes to technical / computer tasks.

Its funny cos the thing i get asked the most about the car is the roof
 
Well, the roof does rather stand out, and look very sexy it must be said. And cool beans buying a new car, bet that's a nice feeling knowing that nobody has screwed your beloved car before you. :D Especially something like an S3, which is made to be driven fast.

Yeah a new car is a special feeling, im very fortunate to be in this position - i know that, but i have worked very hard for it, so i guess it makes it feel even better

Anyway, being an amateur when it comes to taking pics and uploading them - are the pics ok? is there better angles and lighting i could have done?
 
Crazy88, this is actually JohnnyB's 6th brand new S3.
 
Haha i wish, its actually my 2nd, i had an 07 plate from new, heres a few of differences i like from my 07 to the new 59

Obvious exterior cosmetic changes - i think the subtle changes look amazing i love the new revised front end of the car and the DRL's

I really like the new alloys, now i know that pretty much every white S3 you see on here goes for black or grey alloys and black optics grill, but because there are so much like that, i thought i would be different and keep it OEM looking....lol

wing mirror indicators....i like

The exhaust note has a lovely boomy sound between 2 - 3k revs compared to my last one, havent took it past 4k revs yet so cant say how it sounds further up the rev limiter.

Interior changes are minor - but i like the new all white instrument, clock and DIS display

The roof from the inside looks pretty nifty too

Rear LED's.....absolutely love them

The list goes on...

Cant wait to get it mapped now!!
 
Does it sound different engine wise from your 07 S3 Johnny? I am absolutely torn what first mod gonna be for mine. Cant decide on remap, full milltek or wheels. :unsure:
 
Well as i say, the exhaust note is louder/boomier but subtle, the engine ticks over alot smoother compared to my last one, i have only done 400 miles so havent put my foot down yet so cant tell you how it sounds when its on full chat.

Do you really have to wait 700 miles before you can put your foot down? i know the running in period is important but im desperate to give it some
 
From what I have heard you don't really have to. Supposedly most new engines have been run in already however just for peace of mind guess it doesn't hurt no one to hold back for a few more weeks. I would. :) Or just slam your foot down Johnny and tell us what its like haha.
 
Lovely car!

Just had a call from the Dealer, mines been on the docks since the 4th waiting for the boat! Fingers crossed it'll be here for xmas!

Never thought i would say this in my life but im looking forward to january when the mods begin, its such a depressing month its gonna give me something to get excited about.

Hey staz i tried the photobucket way as stated in your thread but it just wouldnt work for some reason, i think i just need practice, not very savvy at this thing

Very simply on photobucket you copy the stuff from the box labelled 'Direct Link' which should start with http:// and end with .jpg, then on here click this button:

insertimage.gif


and paste it into the box that pops up and click ok.

Mate that car is mint,I would love to get the same but with a new child im thinking of going for something more economical.

Good luck keeping it clean though,I have an Ibis S3 and its the one and only thing i hate about it.

Keeping the ****** clean in this weather :icon_thumright:

Lovely car mate, and yes the exhaust boom through this rev band is excellent - I only ever notice it when in manual (on my DSG).

Is that a factory fit MY10 RNS-e I noticed in the photos?

Yeah i know, worst thing about new cars this time of year is the weather and grit machines, im so glad i have gone for the sportback instead of 3dr its already proving to be very practical for me.

No its just the normal Audi symphony II screen, i just use a tom tom, whilst we are on the subject of extras can anyone recommend a good aftermarket ipod connection? and would it be located in the glove box?
 
Lovely car Johnny, well done! Looks good in white with the sunroof!

I'm waiting for mine, its build week 50 which I think is this week or next, delivery date has been advised as 11th January...I can't wait!

Thanks mitch, and i presume you just run the tracks through your symphony screen like the audi ipod connection?
 
Dension make the audi iPod connection, but their own kit is much better sound quality and the Gateway 300 also gives you the option of adding an aux input and a USB port, all in the box, and with a little accessory for it, you can also keep a cd changer.

You can control it all through the standard head unit or MFSW if you have one. I have the ipod either in the tray in front of the gear stick, or blu-tacked to the dash so I can see the track names etc.
 
White sportbacks are awesome!:yum:

however, get rid of that dealer sticker in the rear window and that nasty looking tax disc holder! ;)
 
Very nice car mate. Agree with Mitch on the Dension kit. Mine is only the Gateway 100 but it does the job nicely. I think the newer Dension models display track names in the DIS from the iPod as well which is a nice bonus.
 
Yeah can't be done on the A3 unfortunately. On all other cars with the same platform it can but not the A3 :keule:
