S3.....on its way but TTS cab or S5 cab ??

Thanks for all the responses guys...........left me with a fair few things to think about now !! :keule::readit::think:

Ok first off,
No I dont have shares in Audi !! Lol ! I just feel that as far as interiors go they spank everything else in the market !!

Which leads me to the next point (BMW) - As smooth as the 335i plug was !! I just feel the interior of the Beamer is about as exciting as sitting in Photo Booth in Tesco, infact I take that back, The photo Booth is better, It has spinning seats !!!!

In reply to the "theres others in the market for that price" - I do agree with the Person who wrote this, I agree so far as I would love the M3 but I refer you back to the point above !!

As far as The "Hairdresser" element of the TTS is concerned, that was one of my niggling issues which sort of answers alllllllllll the enthusiastic pointers for the Boxster S too !!

Boxster S. - simple answer to this one - I aint driving a poor mans carrera !

Im quite suprised more people arent feeling the S5 cab ?? I do tend to agree the lack of power is concerning although I havnt driven one yet so I couldnt really be sure either way !!

Shout out to N8 !! No im not getting the answers i wanted lol !

As for being a northerner and making the wrong choices Id be open to suggestions mate !

thanks !

a TT Cabriolet is gay, regardless of the engine... I think the S5 is a more blokey car even without the roof. The A5 is a great looking car as both a coupe or a cabriolet, and an S5 Cabriolet would be a great car to live with I'm sure.

Its an echo from his other 2 this week.

Also its cause I couldnt stand posting a pic of him & his mankini 3rd time in a week, once, twice, 3rd time no fecking way, lmao

He needs to drive them all back to back really. Matt Black S5 cabby, slammed on 21s, is full of win

That would be like porn. Filthy porn, but good porn. :p

The only thing that would be slamming on 21's would be your rse mate, maybe tempur cushion advised, even if did look fair, lol

You could apply that logic to any car manufacturer that makes 2 seater sports cars, i'd rather be seen in a Porker no matter what model than a TT, if thats what you base your car choices on.

Just a question, if you're considering the S5 Cab, then surely the TT-RS is a comparable choice for the price rather than just the TT-S?

thats what i was thinking, but never said!
From reviews though it appears the TT-RS is nowhere near the drivers car it could have been, B7 RS4 still the sharpest Audi in the stable.

Agreed! And probably because the B7 RS4 is about the nearest thing Audi make to a rear wheel drive!

I've got an A5 Cab as a loan car for a few days, only the 2.0T but inside it's gadget heaven.. pretty much fully digital, down to the heated seats, aircon, you can even change the tone an volume of your parking sensors.. .. and for a cab is pretty quiet, Big car though, and totally different to the TTS.. odd decision to make as there must be other factors to decide between a 2 seat coupe and a 4 seat cab?

I'd say the S5 cab would be the thinking mans Audi.... TTS is a bit.. pointless.. surely the S5 cab and TTRS would be a more viable price comparison?

gadget heaven now, gadget ****** nightmare once the guarantee runs out. I had an A4SE on loan the other week a i just thought the second hand value will be nil on this in 3 years time because you would have to be mad to try and keep this all working out of guarantee !! You would need a bit more than vagcom...lol

I'm all for it.. if it breaks then i'm sure audi would give you some grace on the warranty, or just extend it.. but if everyone thinks like you this isn't a bad thing at all.. there might be some great S5's knocking about in 2012 for £5k!!

One thing i will note that is frustrating in the A5 is the volume control is on the very edge of the panel on the drivers side.. even though you've got mfsw.. so the passenger has to lean over past the gear stick and all other mmi controls if they want to play about with the volume.. i know if the car didn't have mfsw this would be handier.. but when it's being factory specced they should be able to use common sense and switch sides..

lmfao sorry pat but he's got a bit of a point, also funny as always, betamax, thats a good one, slightly pessimist Paddy, lol

well i am all for progress old chap but a button for a hand brake ??? I mean..why ??
You look at the prices of top Merc's and the like, cant give them away and dont forget we are talking Audi here....My A3 has gone back for engine problems, Gearbox problems, aircon problems so maybe if they could get the basic essentials right i might haver a bit more faith in fart absorbing seats and electric shaver points in the sun visors :)
I might be an old fart but at least i am not old enough to remember Betamax !!:)

I'm 30 and I remember Betamax! (just....)

I owned a RS4 B7 for nearly two years and to be honest in the real world I much prefer the TTS to drive.DSG is great.

Maybe i am so old i have forgotten Betamax....:) Nurse ....NURSE !!

I've got a betamax in the loft.. and an old black and white sony 5inch portable tv... i'll list it in the classified section if anyone wants to do a vintage retrofit?

My last 3 cars have been back to the dealer for various reasons HONDA/VW/AUDI and while it is a royal pain in the ***, I would rather have that than wind-up windows and leaf springs:).

I did a couple hundred passenger miles in a mates A5 TDi on Saturday, that had the hand brake button and I have to admit the whole centre console was better for not having a handbrake. I fact the A5 is a very special place to sit, even by AUDI standards.

I think `in car` trinkets will only get wackier as the brands try and out do each other.
Have to agree though that reliability on modern cars could and should be better though.

Bet Caymans never break down.....:undwech:

Cheers
Paul

Yeah the only thing I like about the B8 courtesy car I've got at the moment is the handbrake button. It works well with the auto-turn-off-the-engine at traffic lights - leave in neutral, engine off, one button to turn the handbrake on. Then slot into first, the engine starts and as you lift the clutch the handbrake automatically releases.

Being a very lazy guy, that seems great :)

Yup
Did you know that the old Mk2 16v GTI golf had a better power weight ratio than an S3....Why ?? because the modern car is so full of junk you need over 300bhp to move the ****** thing !!. I would rather have a Mk 2 golf with 300+ bhp that the modern version of Dixons on wheels we have today ! I mean...how hard is it to wind a window down ? or manually slide a seat in to position ?.
Your all turning into a bunch of Women :)

If only they'd stuck this in the 8P (cue me & Khufu mod awaiting) then the poxy armrest would be even better with no handbrake in way.
