After the big discussion about, and all the grief with the new motor (now having sorted it out :)), thought I'd put some half about pics up - especially now the wheels haven't got silver centres!!

Thoughts? I'm going to go for an intercooler like S3 Kev's I think, bye bye foggies, hello nice shiny pipes! After xmas though :(

I do have a soft spot for the Imola yellow S3 and its matching interior, not sure I would actually buy one but its a lot nicer than the puke yellow of your A3 mate (soz but it is)

I've GOT to get a new front plate done ASAP. Its got NUFC on it. It bothers me on a daily basis.

So much I'm gonna order one now off of the bay.

Looks nice Welly, yellow S3's with the yellow alcantara are a hard find,black wheels suit it! Wheres the aerial?:)

I agree with the plates, stick some normal ones on there :)
 
looks really good mate. are you gonna get any window tints?
imho it would really set off the black wheels and trim.
also like the facelift rear lights. am thinking about doing these on mine too, did you fit them or were they already there?

Do it, well worth the 10 minutes it takes to change them. Really tidied up the back of mine.

Old bill are well hot on tints round my neck of the woods dude, I would but they'd only be there for 5 mins, and I hate seeing cars with just the back windows tinted.

I'm going to go with the black and lellow theme though, mirrors will be black, and I'm going to very lightly smoke the back lights as well....
 
Looking good mate, always liked the Yellow S3, would have had one myself, but the Missus said no :(

Actually, they're OK with it.

I got pulled by the Traffic lot the other day (apparently I was driving with no insurance so they kept me hanging around for 30 mins whilst they found out they were wasting my time....:mad:) and they mentioned it, but said there was no problem with it as the letters are the right size and correctly spaced...

They are the only regulations as far as I know so it should be MOT passable as well...
 
Really, that could be a possible future mod then. I knew about the size and spacing but just assumed yours would draw unwanted attention. I think it looks a lot better...
 
I know what you mean, but I've had cut down plates on loads of cars now, and never had problems... Worth doing IMO. :)

Unwanted attention? The damn thing is yellow! hehe. Although the old bill - touch wood - tend to leave me alone these days. I must be getting old.

Looking at your no. Plate again, think it works on yours cause you've only 6 letters/numbers, I've got 7 in mine so wouldn't look as good. I'd definately do it if I ever get a private plate with less digits...
 
looking good matey, those few little changes made all the difference!

when i was looking at the car i never saw the point in the private plate saying team? has no real relevance to anything and not worth much, are you keeping it?

have you found out what power it is yet, didnt the seller think it was 280bhp?

gutted about your ariel and dust caps, whats the point in somepone nicking them, they worth next to nothing!!
 
If it's 280 BHP then my **** is 100 inches long. And it's not.

Just been out and run some logs, it's running about 19 - 20 PSI boost, making approx 245 on an unknown stage 1 map.

Needs a new lambda sensor, so hopefully that will unleash a few more ponies, followed swiftly by a FMIC, then I'm looking at either an CC 2 or R Tech stage 2 map.

EDIT: No I won't be keeping the plate either mate, I'll flog it I expect. I'm gonna flog my other plate M300 WEL as well (had it on my old M3 - spaced out M3 00 WEL) and buy S300 WEL for the same reasons....

100 inches? lol dont think even a black man could pull off that blag!!

20psi, on a standard turbo? gotta be a ko3 surely?

you could buy my plate if you like, s3 fku lol as if your yellow s3 doesnt attract enough attention already
 
Wont be a ko3 jonny as he's got a s3, it'll be a ko4 for sure.
 
Yeah, deffo a K04 mate.

It's just not a particularly aggressive map which is why it's not boosting that high. The power is very progressive to be fair, and all in all it's not bad. I just prefer the 'hit it and quit it' approach from REVO maps :)

The map I'll be replacing it with should be around 22 PSI I expect, so it's not that much more.
