That looks sweeeeet! Anyone have an idea what size registration plate that is? lol as I am in the process of putting my private plate on. Standard size is 20 by 4.5 i think :)

Oh and am I right in thinking the rear plate has to be full size? .

Matt! 2 questions please! What size are your plates and how tinted are your windows?

Its a standard plate the the sides cut off and its still road legal, i used a tile cutter which I bought for £5 and I must of cut 20+ sets down for people in the last couple of years.

No the rear can be cut down aswell

Taken from here

Top, bottom and side margins (minimum) 11 mm

The window tints are from factory, known as privacy glass

Thanks mate! Although those plates look like they must of been custom as the letters are soo close together! And is that lamin-x I see on the headlights. :)

lol so legendary I am thinking about asking him to do mine! For a fee of course :)

What's the charge? :) Does look good and its legal so.

The plate spacing is fully legal, the only thing wrong with mine is the makers name and post code is not shown on the centre of the plate (nathans shows them on his)

Drop me a pm, where are you located? another thing is the place I use for plates that im gona trim use the best process. A lot of plates are printed then a clear piece of plastic stuck on top, this method tend to be more prone to getting water behind the plastic especially when they are cut.
The plates from the supplier I use have the letter stuck on top of the plastic plate.

You got anymore pics of your plates, n8 ? And also am I right in thinking when Matt said something about makers and postcode it is because it is legal requirement?.

These arrived today, only 18's though. I'm going to wait until the spring before I put them on.

Good comparison Lima, but like all the girl's say, that extra inch makes all the difference :moa:

Yep, the 19s look better, but I went with the 18s for two reasons, 1) I nicked them from my wife's GTI, so we already had them, haha and 2) after selling my lowered MINI (partly) for being over the harsh ride I didn't want to head down the path of compromising ride quality again.

I wouldn't mind some coilovers, though, but will try and sample some cars before seriously considering that.

I am about to change my rims in my S3 and I wanted to ask you guys wich ET do the both cars of this thread have (the 18 inched as well as the 19" one) and also if u have any rubbing issues with HR -25mm springs. Thanks!!
