Afternoon guys, Well i've been looking into a group buy for the RNS-E and the cheapest place is eBay.

Theres a guy on there who will sell to us if we buy 5 from him for £430.

This seems to be a fair bit cheaper than what they go for on eBay.

So, anyone interested in joining me?

Cheers

Be very interested if it's an RNS-E MY2010?? Guessing not though...

That i wouldn't know, whats the difference in them?

cheers

Oright ok, and apart from price lol?

No way is that the MY10, not on your nelly mate.

£430 isnt bad as they're usually £500 upwards & £600 or more for the chrome versions, but given thats for 5 then should be a discount huh.

Can you find out which one's they are Chrome button or the old black buttons ?

What would be a reasonable price for the MY10 version?

I think you would be very lucky to get one for less than a grand.

They will be pre-chrome tbh & MY10 would be 1-1.2k if lucky to find one, even more.

Sounds about right , i have only ever seen One for sale used on german ebay.
Think it went for £1000+

There goes my idea of installing aftermarket lol. Think I'd rather spend that sort of money on wheels :)

does it come with the plug and play wiring gps antenna and map discs?if does than count me in

Hi, to confirm, its the 2009 model, and he does have some with chrome buttons which he said will be £30 more. But, i have got him down to £420 per unit now.

And yes, all equipment is included in the price

I would be very cautious with this, make sure you test each one beforehand, with pin numbers etc, also UK collection I hope, cause 2k is alot of dough to lose of other peoples money mate.

Yeah it would be cash on collection, and yeah, deffinaely wouldn't leave until each one tested. If anyone is near London who is interested in one also, feel free to come along.

And be careful there's no broken glass still in them...

LMFAO thats a good one Pete & tbh I would say very close to true aswell, lol

Yeah possibly, where do these people get a steady source from i wonder, cause i've spent the last 2 days looking for somewhere i could buy a load from, ie straight from Japan where they are made, but i havn't found a single supplier.

It's hard to dismiss the idea they're stolen. They're all second hand for a start, and I'm pretty sure there's less Audi's going to the breakers with RNS-E in them than there are RNS-E units turning up on the bay. Mine came from a guy in Europe somewhere...

Yeah alot are from Lithuania and Poland, not sure why as they're not made there. Well if anyone finds a direct supplier let me know

You wont get a direct supplier mate, contracted to audi solely I should think & they wont be allowed to sell seperately as an aftermarket unit, no way Jose imho, blaupunkt makes them dont they or did.

yeah thats what i was thinking, but surely places like HAzzyDayz must have a supplier to supply such a demand, and all their products are new

Not true, they supply pre-loved nav's.

oh really, ahh well then. I'm sure those kind of places aren't selling robbed units though are they?

I'm sure they're not knowingly selling them. But who's to say where their supplier is geting them from?

Yeah i see what you mean. There just seems wayyyy to many on the market for their not to be a supplier. hmmmmm:(

I'm sure there are suppliers, but these are second hand units. The only sources can be scrapyards and thieves.

haha, what a way to put it. Just noticed how little the Symphony 6CD changer sells for too

The guy I bought them from is from Northern Ireland and sells them regularly on ebay - very good prices and would recommend him

I will try get his user name and post it up!
