HELP S3/A3 brake swap

CAN ANYONE HELP? I HAVE AN 07 A3 2.0 TDI S-LINE, I HAVE DONE AN S3 FRONT BRAKE CONVERSION, I HAVE THE REAR BRAKES AS WELL BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD I CANT PUT THEM ON. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE DISCS FROM THE S3 WONT FIT THE A3 REAR HUB AS THE CENTRE IS TO SMALL, HAS ANYONE DONE THIS CONVERSION, ANY HELP WOULD BE GRATEFUL.

I don't know, but I would imagine the rears will need different hubs because the S3 is 4WD and will have a different rear axle to a 2WD A3.

I spoke to someone who sells the S3 rear brakes and they said they will fit.

I never got round to fitting mine so cant comment on them.. But im pretty sre they will.

The centres cant be a different size as then wouldnt that mean the diameter of the hole in the middle of the wheel would be different for front and rear wheels?

It's only 2 bolts, handbrake cable and the screw in the brake disc to get the rear caliper off so maybe worth trying it...Shouldn take long.

the difference is in the discs. the hub hole on the s3 discs is smaller than the standard a3 rear discs. is there anyway around this.

can anyone confirm that the above is correct? has noone ever completed this conversion? A3 2.0tdi - S3 Fronts and Rears?

Or perhaps not in that case

I'm sure they will fit or the wheels wouldn't fit between a3 and s3 (well quattro really) as the hole at the centre would also have to be different too.

I did it on my 2007 A3 3.2 Q and also have a friend that has done it on a 2007 2.0T FWD, the only thing that will not fit are the splash shields on a FWD car but you can re-use the stock units

I'm sure the hub is the same, as Ben has fitted R32 rears (same) to his Octavia!?

Did anyone complete this conversion to the rear? ive got a set of full S3 calipers coming for my edition 30 and wanna fit them all round! Cheers
