I'm sure somebody posted price a while back, it may have been about 4K for the front pair!

Hey N8 (you shrunk your name? LOL) I see you have 09 climate, thought wiring was all different or did you get Audi's little helper ;)?

crypric seems to have a good contact, fronts alone unlikely to surface as most are coming from insurance write offs so usually if the fronts have survived the rears will form part of the sale, I think you would still pay around 16-1800, may as well pay the extra at least you know the money can be recouped when you have finished with them, I really miss mine they are excellent and worth every penny.

Hi

If your after Recaro Bucket Seats and a bit more information email any of the following two guys there prices will be different.
Jamie Southam (jamie@crossroadsgarage.co.uk)
Joe Beales (e-commerce@capitalseating.co.uk)

http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/productdetail.asp?pid=619&type=s&appgrpid=&appid=&rid=22

You will need a specific Recaro baseframe to fit these seats into your vehicle. The price of a pair of baseframes is an extra £300 and you have to say if you want airbags or not. I'll try find me email off them with prices

Hope that helps

Edit: Joe Beales Price
2x Recaro Sportster CS (non-SAB) in Ambla Leather / Dinamica Black = £1560
2x Baseframes for Audi A3 = £246
2x Resistor Wires = £30
TOTAL = £1836

2x Recaro Sportster CS (SAB) in Ambla Leather / Dinamica Black = £1950
2x Baseframes for Audi A3 = £246
2x Resistor Wires

TOTAL = £2226

The OEM seats are far more supportive and more rigid, the CS aren't as deep, have a wider base/back and feel more flimsy. I'm not saying they're rubbish, just not as good as the S3 seats. If you want to test some, go to your local Vauxhall dealer and sit in a Corsa VXR.

Thanks for that Mitch

The Corsa VXR buckets are not CS seats. My bro has a vxr, and his aren't supportive at all....the Ford Foxus RS seats are CS's......

The OEM bucket are alot more supportive, but too become too supportive on a long drive, the CS are more comfy imo.....and they are effectively the same seat, made from same frame also.

The new clio sport 200 has similar looking ones, they CS too? They look very similar to the Focus RS ones

Also what are the seats in the mk2 Leon Cupra? They look a bit of a hybrid!

ive still not fully understood the implications of installing aftermarket recaros, whether or not the airbags can be connected and do the runners and brackets at the bottom of the seat look particularly visible in an aftermarket way?

When fitting aftermarket seats, Airbags can be an insurance issue. if your car is fitted new with them and you remove them, i'm pretty sure if you sustained any injuries that might have been prevented, they wont pay up. You could always tell your insurance and they will re quote you unhappy!

Yes Clio Sport/197/200 are CS as well.

OK, my mistake.

If you want to test some, go to your local MINI dealer and sit in a JCW with the bucket option (and I'm certain they are the CS).

Yes mitch, JCW are CS as well.

You can get them with or without airbags and you get them with runners, although my cousin's TT has CS now, and the runners from recaro were (expletive!!!!)!!!!!!! Work still had to be done by my trimmer to make them fit, anyway here they are:

are the CS seats heated though? would be abit naff to have the controls for heaters and then the seats not be heated

You'd have to retrofit them, so basically, it means buying CS in cloth, then buying elements/connectors etc. Then trimming, its all long man, this is why I'm put off buying them :3sadwalk:
