Everytime i get in the A4 the windows are badly steamed up.
I'm not used to this, the vectra i had before was perfect all year round.

When it did play up, i'd just replace the pollen filter. I suspect this is the same in the A4?

Where abouts is it, and is it hard to change?

CHeeeeeeers

hahaha @ Tech, Looks like theres some form tonight!!lol....nowt wrong with doggin mate :eyebrows:

have you made sure your recirc botton is switched off on your climate???

ahh stop dogging, that would be cheaper but wheres the fun!
Recirc isn't on, but my aircon isn't working atm as i tihnk its low on pressure. Hoping to have it topped up next week.

I'll get a pollen filter ordered up and i'm sure it'll make a big difference. Its been sat at a garage for a lil while so i'm sure a damn good run on the motorway with the heaters at near on a thousand degrees will go someway to help.

was gonna mention that too, but would that affect it when its not running?

really hoping its not a passenger footwell full of water causing the moisture build up

Oh yeah, Duhh, didnt read it properly...

mind you, if you've just been out for a Blast (in your car, not doggin) and you switch off whilst on recirc, dont you sometimes get a little condensation especially when its been raining ....

Or if it aint raining then if its as cold as it is in Leicester then Heat inside the car whilst this fooookin freezing will give off some moisture after switch off (...and not in your pants after Doggin BlackQuat )

I always have a tissue i disgard of in public bins shortly after so it cant be that!

dunno, i never turn my recirc button on, i always have the full climate system running whatever the weather or amount of fuel left in tank!
its set at 24 degress at the moment.....mmmmm, toastie :)

Econ light is perm on, cant switch it off. I assume its low on pressure. Cant find anytihng in the service book about ti being topped up. So might nip it into Quickrip sometime.

thats the problem, the refrigerant needs topping up, i did mine myself earlier in the year using a diy can from halfrauds without any problems
Ah yes! I remember seeing them, never thought about it with the vectra. Some what seemed pointless post hacksaw incident.
Can you remember how much it cost fella?

How do i do that if the econ button won't disengage fella?

the system is a full climate control system but while the ECON mode is switched on the air con system is turned off which means the dehumidifier isn't functioning.
you can still set the temp to LO and fan speed to high, once the system has been charged the red light on the ECON will reset itself and you will be able to turn it on/off by pressing the ECON button.

Summertime. A unused word here in y....orkshu

Thanking you muchly for your advice.

My windscreen steams up more when it needs a clean, bizarre I know. But if I clean the inside with AG Fast Glass or similar it eradicates it.

Although I'm sure in your case it's down to the inoperative a/c.

No need fella, I saw em today when i had my headlights out to fit HID's So i'll save you the task. Thank you very much for offering though.
So i'll get a can-o-gas and a new pollen filter and see how she goes from there!

might be a better/cheaper option to get an aircon place to do it? i bought the ezchill stuff from halfords and also used nearly 2 cans (80 quid!) whereas most places will vac out/measure then regas for around 50 quid

x2
forget all that hassle, sweet talk the Kwik fit gang and they'll sort you out. The chavs love a drink!

bwahaha Kwik chav Fits.
How much do they charge these days?

£45 at the Kwiky near me.
On a Saturday theres 4 lads that work there, eldest being about 14 by look of them and I got all 4 tyres swapped over to different alloys and they said just give the fitter a drink - so I did...£20
I use them all the time now along with a 'Drink'
Im not saying dont go with the halfords route DIY but for how cheap it is these days, save the hassle and let the boys sort it out for you.

Went today, i was abit wary of spending 45 on a recharge without checking it on Vagcom first, but then i thought it cant hurt to have it recharged and deal with any other problems.
Anyway, after 143k it had gone very low and needed a regas, passed the pressure test and regased. ECON light isn't permently on now.

£25 quid. Great!
