After rolling road day which you some of you guys know that the car put only 319 BHP  I thought it was time to take the car for a health check and pressure test it as I knew there was something wrong with car and also I change the rear springs as the both was breaking :p and I finally fitted my Hose pipes too and also add up the picture of the rs4 intercoolers when I fitted.
Ok here we go here is some pictures:
First here is few picture of the car when we fitted the rear springs and by the way the rear springs were so easy to change without any problems :D

Here is the breaking spring:

Here is few picture of the Rs4 intercoolers:
We started at 09:30am ad we started to take out first the front bumper, Head light and the S4 intercoolers.

Here is the difference both the standard S4 intercooler and the RS4 intercooler:

Final picture after we fitted the RS4 intercoolers:

Here is the Hose pipes after fitting all fitting fine only the I only had problem with Y pipe fitment as it was different then standard pipe:

After fitting the intercoolers and the Hose Pipes time was for a pressure test and health check and today I took the car to Romford to turbo specialised and after pressure tested we found out a big leaking on the driver side top pipe it was so big leaking that after 1 bare we could hear the fusshhh sound.

The reason for the leaking was because of the RS4 intercooler pipe as its 2.5” and S4 pipe is 2”

The only way that we could fix the leaking was to cut the S4 top pipe and refit it into the RS4 pipe and that worked out very well after second pressure test there was no leaking at all and the car now pulls like a tank so the only thing now is left to take it back to SRR and check the car power again.

I may be been stupid here but is your drivers tyre running the wrong direction?

Running like a tank eh? Hope it's quicker than that!

Glad you've sorted the problem.

How did you not notice the difference in diameter when originally fitting the hoses? People usually butcher their S4 hoses to act as a sleeve to fit inside the RS4 hoses.

I did notice it and I knew that the S4 hose's are 2" and RS4 are 2.5" but the garage that I fitted the intercooler's he said it should be fine out cut and putting the S4 hose's inside the RS4 and for passager side he was right but for driver side he was wrong :)

good thread. nice to see an audi being worked on rather than being sent away to a garage!

fellow spannerers, im off to the garage to do a cambelt/water pump and most importantly a thermostat change on mine

The only thining I took the car to garage was to pressure test the intake :) as I didn't had the tools for it :(

Nothing wrong with taking a car to a garage, so long as it's good reputable one that doesn't pull your pants down.

I used to do WAY more work on my Vauxhalls than the bits and bobs I do to my Audi these days. Being ***** is one aspect, not having the correct (often expensive) tools is another, but the key for me is time. Family, bands and DIY etc take up my time instead.

diy is a pain. i got the audi around the same time as i moved, hence couldnt touch the car for weeks at first

it seems almost fun to get back into doing the greasy stuff, but im so busy in the day ive not actually ordered any of the new bits i need

will definately pop into audi tomorrow
