S3CIROCCO, warning sexual content

Right folks I think I am the 1st person to do this in an S3 so wanted to get the pics out there.

She came back from Audi yesterday after having the small amount of roof corrosion treated under warranty so is now MINT

I Sold the TT RS4's and after some deliberation with friends and then an encounter with photoshop I've bought myself a set of Adapters and these bad boys!!!!!!

They are GENUINE 18" interlagos Scirocco alloys and I am pretty sure I am the 1st S3 owner to do this. Wanted to keep it secret till ?Ultimate Dubs next year howeve figured someone else by then would have done the same.

I don't like them! They belong on a different car!

Also, why after all that are you now selling it then?

I think they look pretty good. My das has got them standard on his passat though lol.

Erm Im not a fan. Very modern wheels on a classic car. Love or hate really.
 
Different yes, do they suit the lines of the S3, no in my opinion. Each to their own though...

Did you have to use hub adaptors to fit them?

You are about to fit coilies on to the car, and it's potentially for sale? :think:

Yup centre caps to be changed.
My cousin has thrown a curve ball. Basically has a Leon cupra 03 reg with revo map. Mint and only wants 3.5 k for quick sale. So I'm tempted to sell the S3 and bank a few £'s, makes sense in the current climate.(got my practical head on.

I 've had some AP coilovers for a few weeks now but have not fitted until I put the news rims on to see the stance. Looks pretty good standard to be honest so may not fit them.

I've used FK 5x100 to 5x112 20mm hub adaptors

So I'll either sell the S3 with the rocco rims on or just refit the 17" avus rims and put the roccos on the Leon:icon_thumright:

i liked them initially but have gone off them very quickly.... 8P alloys dont generally go on an 8L Audi due to the different generation.....same with these unfortunately

that said i hate these wheels on the scirocco and look better on yours IMO :)

can see why someone sold them ;)

Kinda glad they're getting the love/hate replies. I didn't pick them to get the safe vote of approval, I did that with the TTRs's and although they did look brill I felt I was just another S3 on Rs4's.

I think the Rocco wheels are a bit different and as far as I'm aware not done before. If for some strange reason I grow tired of them I'll try something new. However this leon cupra I've been offered is a ****** good offer so despite the S3 being where I want it, including having the roof corrosion corrected under warranty, I'd be foolish not to bank a few £'s and run about in a newer motor:yes:

er...I'm in the NO camp ! I'll say again , original's are far better suited on the car.
 
Looks clean, but I'm not a fan. Original idea though, just not to my taste.
 
I suppose there were a lot of people originally who thought the rs4 wheels should have stayed on the rs4 only and look at them now, so many marks have a variant of them and every man and his dog has them on the S3. Personally I thought the rs4's on my S3 were mint however I wanted to try something different

Random eh??, normally I wait till I've spent a load of money on wheels before declaring I dont like them! :)

The wheels themselves are really nice, I just dont think they suit the 8L S3 :)

No offence to Ben, but deffo not for me, and Im all for trying totally different wheels. These are in the same group as Lambo/Bentley wheels for me

Like I said, no offence. Best to be told what people actually think than live a lie, you can never please all the people all the time. All that matters is that you like it, who cares about what other people think about it!

And for that matter, the only people I care about liking the look of my cars are birds, not big hairy blokes on AS.net!

Not for me ….but I just don’t like this sort of wheel where they look like they were put on the wrong way? :think:

Your first two pics look like the wheels are going forward, then pics 3/4 (other side of car) looks like the wheel is going backwards.

But hats off for trying something new!! :icon_thumright:
