What a bad luck, coming back from a holiday car was there for two month without a fault; next day I was at the back garden when I heard my neighbours shouting come out someone hit your car... :wtf:

What a sight I ran out to see a big Mercedes van has backed onto the rear end of my beloved S3, construction man claimed somebody stole it and left! But no in fact his handbrake was off it had rolled down about 50 metres from the opposite side just to end up on my car, this is really depressing, but glad it didn't kill someone as one of my own cousin was killed the same way a few years back.

Do you guys think it will be written off or is it just a repair? I am very annoyed as since the remap I have done less than 100 miles in it.
:sob:

Waiting for the other insurance party to get back to me!

Damn. Feel for you brother. Let us know if you want to scrap her bits though ;-)

Mate i feel your pain, im going through something similar and it aint nice. What damage has it done?

sorry but how do I post pic?

Mate sorry to hear about the car. Takes the p*ss. Hope you had a good time away....Whats the damage like? The car only be written off if the repairs are over the value of the car. Who was the guy insured with?

Sorry to hear this, hope the damage isnt TOO bad, get some pics up, there is a link with some instructions....

As you say at least nobody was hurt!!

Hopefully it will all be sorted for you :)

Cant really see the picture put dont look like that.
Make an account on photobucket upload the photos, and copy and paste the direct link into the little yellow box (when you go to make a post) with montains and the moon or some thing.
Hope that helps

Hope it's just superficial, but there could well be some structural damage there (not that i'm an expert or anything!).

No Dani, but checking from the inside it has moved a bit where the pillar is, it should be picked up soon. I hope it gets sortted properly. boot wont move!

How the hell did he only damage the top part! Was it a monster truck or something haha

Oh dear, I would be well annoyed at that. I feel your pain... after 2 days of owning my S3, it got keyed twice down both sides (from front to back wings). Still haven't had it done over 5 weeks later, so nearly my entire experience of driving an S3 has been in a damaged one! :3sadwalk:

To be honest its not that bad as i thought it would look your hoping its a rear quater pannel, tailgate, lights, then a spray. dont think that would class as a cat d, will need to wait and see what insurance thinks,

I am gonaa say it's a close run thing, as the quarter damage is gonna put the overall bill up IMO.

If you want it back, it's up to you to push to get it back in the condition it was in, don't just accept a payout, as it was not your fault.

Sorry to hear about your car mate, good luck with getting it sorted!

I love the fact that the seccond post is someone after parts! It doesnt take long for the vultures to start circling, lol!

shame thats the n/s http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-S3-N-S-R...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item439b64ea1d

you can source them quit easy at breakers , if it was me i would keep car plus a payout if possible, then fix it yourself. each to there on tho

To do that the car needs to be written off, catd/c and from expreience however well the repair is done, the resale value is awful. As long as you intend to keep it and drive it into the ground as it were then it's all good. Just bare that in mind

how much for the Nurburgring sticker ?
:)

This takes the word "vulture" to a whole new meaning.

I know, I though you guys will offer some Sort of emotional support not to strip of what is left! Got to addmit it is funny.

Car is taken and will post any update I get! Let's hope it's all good news

is there any roof damge? kinks or dents etc? if so id say they'l write it off, if its just the o/s quarter, rear panel, bumper, tailgate and lamp unit and abit of jiggery, i reckon you'll get it back they write them off if its over two thirds of the cars current value so im guessing that would be around the £3,000 mark, if the roof is damaged i dont think you'll get it back, comiserations for your bad news mate, il have my fingers crossed for ya!

I completely agree , if written off and you DO wish to keep the car for a good few years then I am sure you will be quids in. You know your car and it's reliability so it's your choie. true the car is worth less when selling, but I'm sure you will be making some money to counteract that future event !

If Audi saw that, they would put down for many new panels + plus expensive labour rates and it would be written off (maybe just ?). I'm sure you can find respectable good reapir shops which could repair it for lot less, especially if you find some of the panels yourself (scrap yard).

There was no roof damage, only what is shown in the first image, if I had fixed it in my local garage it would have cost around £600, pulled and straightened up no weld! But we will see I hope they do a good job on her....

yup i was thinking about the nurburgring sticker have you been??? :)

sorry for ya bud, hope you get it sorted asap and in your favour

sounds reasonable, providing the do a good repair and that includes the paint finish, be fussy when u go to look at it if your not happy with something then refuse the car back until its right especially the rear quarter!
