Alright, just got my first Audi a 2002 S3 it has 80 000 on the clock and is totally standard. Just checked it over fully and shes perfect. Basically im looking for a starting point, i want her up to 300bhp but with an increase in torque too just looking for a bit of advice on a decent starting point and money it will cost.Hopefully the longer i have it the more i can start to help people out on here too. Many thanks

300bhp... hybrid turbo exhaust remap? possibly a FMIC?

Personally save your money for a BT ;)

Yeh best saving the pennies and going BT route. Standard k04 certainly wont see 300bhp.

I also currently have a standard car. I'm not going to be looking for 300bhp+, so this is the route i'm thinking of taking to about 280bhp(?).

1. Stage One Custom Code Remap, Green Cotton Panel Filter, Forge 007p Diverter Valve.
2. 25/30mm lowered on KW springs & shocks, Adjustable Rear Tie-Bars, 10mm front spacers & 15mm rear spacers.
3. 3" Down Pipe and Sport Cat, Custom Exhaust, Silicone TIP.
4. Uprated Discs & Pads.
5. Stage Two Custom Code Remap.

Would anyone do this differently?:greyrs4:

Yeh fmic and dp are the important bits for stage 2 apparently. I'd say good for maybe 270bhp. 280bhp is a real push.

As long as you've got your torque, I'd be looking for 300lbs.

A £350 remap will get you to 260ish bhp straight away. The next 40bhp will cost a fair bit though!

Hybrid is a cheaper route. Can't help thinking BT power delivery will be alot different too??

It is.. later spool, less spikey but better/more power delivery through the rev range and the right turbo will still produce to the redline unlike a K04 (hybrid or otherwise) that will run out of puff long before.

Best comparison I can think of is a K04 will feel like an initial shove then quickly settle where a BT will just pull and pull and pull until you run out of revs, gears or road... ;P

Looks spot on.

Though I'd do the remap, Silicon TIP, brakes and spacers first then the suspension mods, then move onto the DP/cat and stage 2 last when you're bored of stage one power!

All sounds good to me...now where's my MasterCard...?
I'm sure the family don't want anything for Christmas this year!

nothing will replace the feeling of a stage 1 remap IMO.... the extra power from then on will be met with a bit of disappointment with the shed load of cash you'll have spent :)

to be objective ;)
