Piano black inlays.

Hello all, can some one help here?

Got back after a month away to find that the inlay on the passenger side has been what I would describe as 'scratchd to f##k'. Being jet black it sticks out and is ****** annoying. Qestion is how much for a new set and can they be picked up seperatly instead of buying a whole set?
Would like a set of carbons if not too pricey, but not holding much hope of this being a cheep fix for a wee bit of carelessness.

Oh and there is also a nice new hole in my bose speaker cover, are these standard covers with a bose emblem?

Searched ebay for both with no results.

Replies may just lift my mood a little, but then again.......

if yours is a saloon mate then you should get hold of some trim off the bay easy enough, dont hold your breath for carbon though buddy !!!
as for the speaker covers, answers no mate, as far as i know its imbossed into the grill, cant be 100% though.
probably not helped your mood much i know but hey you asked lol

have a search on the bay for ally trim, always some of that for a saloon.

What happened to scratch them while you were away?

The trims acan be removed without ;too' much trouble - why not cover them with some carbon fibre look-a-like foil? I've seen that done to great effect elsewhere.

I've got an avant which I pressume will have the same inlays as the saloon. As for what happened its a mystery with both the speaker grille and the inlays, looks to me like a sharp bit of a ring and a stiff granny trying to manouvre out of a recaro seat that got the inlay.
Always happens when I'm away and always a complete mystery to the other half. Once had a kerb stone that must of unbedded its self in the night, dragged its self up my drive and rubbed itself round my nice BBS alloys on my old golf before returning to its original resting place. WOW!

Might have a go with the carbon sheet, as long as it doesn't look like a home made job I'll be hapy.

Hello mate, sorry to hear I'm not the only one who's missus claims she didn't kerb the alloys even though she was driving the damn thing. Anyway,

If you want carbon bits then I would go to a sign writers who often have real carbon sheet they can lay down. I'm about to get alot. Of bits cvered inside and out. The best bit is it actually Is carbon and feels, looks and is, awesome!

The speakers grills are quite cheap from Audi, I paid about £3 for a tweeter cover and £7 for a larger one at the bottom of the door.

cheers for the sympathy/advice, speaker grille I thought would be an easy fix, although that was only mentioned on the first short walk to the car, funny that. Looking at them today it is a BOSE speaker cover, not a stick on badge. The inlays......still fuming, didn't notice until sat in the passeger side, hope the kids had thier ears covered or are too shocked repeat such language. text speak would of been handy. WTF is ths sht, how TF hs tht hppnd, fr fks sake nd so on....and on......and on.

How would she like to find I'd pooped on the floor in the house she always keeps clean then blamed the dog, or said 'oh that, i never noticed'.
Can you tell I'm still bitter?

I have a full set of piano blacks if you're interested. Two pieces have a scratch on them so not 'perfect' but very good. Includes gear suppound (manual) and both ashtray lids.
