Retro fitting: DRLs & Black edition grill

Hi,

I've got an Ibis white 1.4 S-Line SportBack on order, but due to the long time between order and delivery I’m starting to fret a about options.

The delivery date has come at a bit of a financial “unpredictable” time, the birth of my first child. With all of the outlay during this month I’m not sure exactly how much capital I’m going to have available (with the abysmal statutory paternity pay and the cost of a pram being about the same as a small car).

I really want the DRLs and “Black Edition” style grill but could I get these fitted after build? I know it’s going to cost more than a factory order but 2-3 months after “delivery(s)” these extras should be easily affordable. I’ve also seen some talk on here about a black S3 grill is this an option? Does anyone have any photos?

I could delay my order, but I’m currently driving a 1.1 Citroen C2 and after the crash* I had in it two weeks ago I’m not happy putting the misses and little ‘un in it. So that’s out of the question.

Any ideas on costs?

* Other driver didn’t give way at a round about and went into the side of me, I’m fine but the car’s seen better days.

The grill isn't a problem and can be fitted easily and replaced with the black S3 grill if you proffer (circa £250-300 last time i saw prices posted) with the DRL's i assume your refering to the Xeon lights? If so this would be much harder to retrofit though not impossible. It would require the lamp units, ballasts & bulbs around £600 each side plus the self leveling sensors on the rear axle wired in to the existing looms then the headlight washers fitted this may need a new bumper but im not sure on that.

Only thing is with a March delivery it may be to late to change.

I completely forgot about the washers (& therefore bumper), that's going to hoik the price up considerably. Bugga' now or never I spose

All a moot point as I've just had a CONFIRMED build week of 49

Will probably add the Black S3 grill later on next year.

Are my maths correct in thinking this is the week begining 7th December?

In the Stoke Audi section, they are quoting £120 plus p&p for the black grilles.

is this different from the s3 or the grill your looking for? just not sure why the price is so different!?

I work about a 2 minutes walk from Stoke Audi, somehow I'm thinking I might spend a bit more time in there now

S3 optic (black) grill is about £200.
