In the last few months I've seen RS TDi's and all sorts. All badge, no trousers. These are on offer on Fleabay now.

I've never seen one in the flesh until I went to ADI this year and saw an RS2 badged Audi A2.

Since then I've seen an A3 1.9TDi badged as a 1.9TDi S, and an A6 3.0 TDi badged as a 3.0TDi RS (at least this one had 19's RS4's etc...)

People are bent.

My town has a Fiat barchetta badged up with four rings and TT badges

Its a fine line putting RS3 badges on a S3..or 8P2 front on a 8P1 or even and S3 grill on a 1.4TD or S-Line badge on a non S-Line

So thats mostl of us then

sleeper is best, my mate used to have a Polo G40, chipped and pullyed, was a right flyer but he swapped the badges for 1.0CL. Used to love racinf the VTR's in it!

When over badging a car, is the person doing it horribly insecure, or just suffering from delusional tendencies?!?!? Where do these delusions end is what worries me a little !

It's almost like admitting publicly 'I will happily and openly falsify my status to live up to the aspirations I can't attain in reality'!

I had no idea you could buy these...silly me!

I could have saved myself a few thousand bucks and had the car going as fast as anything out on the roads.

Ruffling my own feathers if anything if Audi had stopped teasing a bit earlier and pulled its finger out - i.e built the car I wanted them to, yes mememe, then I would have been far more likely to get another one.

As it is, the TTRS guts in an A3 SB shell is just a pipe dream (watch them release it next week now I said that)

If I'd have won a part share in the Euro Millions last weekend I'd love to have had it done as a technical exercise then delivered it to Audi in a crate with the slogan

"Here's what you could have made!"

At least the RS3 badge would be easy to fit. The 2.5 lump will need a fair conversion of mounts, battery relocation, ECU etc... so wouldn't be an easy ride. I'd borrow the Audi approach and not change the body work (eg. lazy) so it would have the sleeper look!

Have another new car. Buy a batch of these and stick them on your current car and it will be faster/better/newer. People will stand back, rub their chins in amazement whilst admiring, wondering how wealthy, successful, handsome and enormously endowed the owner of this M badged monster must be.

Surely that's what must happen, else why would anyone do it?

They have already put some M's on there (steering wheel and sill trims) obviously not enough and I'm just off to fleabay now to order half-a-dozen Taiwanese M's

2 on the boot, 2 on the front wings, 1 on the grille and 1 stuck wonkily on the glovebox should get me over 400 bhp

ive got an 8l s3 remaped and i think i'll put a 1.6 badge on it to **** people off at the lights lol ma mat at college had a nova 2ltr redtop with 1.0l badges it was funny seingpeoples faces when it wheelspun into 5th lol
