Hi All,

I haven't long had my S3 and can't wait to start giving it a few subtle mods. I've just grabbed myself a Forge 007p Dump Valve as so many of you seem to rate them as being the best replacement, which should be with me tomorrow.

After reading lots of previous threads about Cone/Panel Filters etc. it seems that the Green Cotton Panel Filter is also the way to go... but can you get these only from Green Cotton them selves or are they sold elsewhere?

Just to confirm though, the part number for the one I'm after is P646531 and is about £50?

Cheers, Sean.

Cheers for the reply... yeah that is where I was looking anyway.

Was there any postage on top of that price? And how long approx did it take to arrive? I've been waiting ages for loads of stuff I've ordered lately, so I'm getting used to not receiving stuff for a while!

I got mine from there,...took about 2 days to arrive :)

Well if everyone gets theirs from them direct... then I will too.

Cheers lads!

If your going to get your car remapped if it isn't already then usually the tuning company you go to can change the filter at the same time for you...

Yeah, I was going to get it re-mapped eventually (in the next few months) so thought it would be better to get a filter now so it's done and out of the way.

I'm also looking to get an exhaust system fitted, but didn't know whether to get the re-map done before or after? Does it make much difference?

Yeah that's fair enough, saves having such a large bill in one hit, as for getting the exhaust... I'd have that fitted before getting the remap, may help eek that ickle bit more power :)

My car was already mapped and i got the Forge 007p & Green Cotton panel filter last week. Makes a nice sound difference with the panel filter and the forge has reduced a noticeable amount of lag so i'm glad i got these bits! I got my panel filter from here....

Thanks for the info! Do you know what your car is currently running at (bhp/torque) with the Filter and DV on top of the re-map?

Did you have the re-map done yourself, or had this already been done when you purchased the car?

so, i have the bug now.....would you lot recommend a green cotton filter and a 007p DV?

if you say yes, then il go and ask Mr VISA if he can sort me out. what sort of benefits on std would this give me in a 210bhp APY?

That's what I thought... when the re-map finally gets done, the Filter will have been money spent and forgotten.

Yeah, I think I will hold off that extra bit of time with the re-map and get the exhaust done before.

You wouldn't notice any performance gains I wouldn't think, maybe a little more of an induction noise, however these items will put you in good stead for if/when you get a remap...

Well to my surprise when i bought the car i was told it was standard but it wasn't as it had a Superchips remap and found out when my N75 valve needed replacing.

After doing a few logs on VAG-COM at the time with just the map it was reading 250-255bhp. These things usually give a couple of bhp increase but the car does feel a bit better when having a little whizz! Rolling road would be the best option to find out really.

Ha ha, bet you felt better about having to the N75 Valve replaced after finding that out! Do you have the 210 or 225bhp model Jay? Just so I know what I can expect from mine after the re-map.

Well as the N75 valve was faulty, the car was overboosting hitting 32psi which was way overboard! But in mid rev range giving it a boot, it would lose boost and carry on quite slow (car was then going into limp mode!) So with a new N75 valve now holds boost throughout with no problems! Doesn't throw you in your seat as much as before (but that was because it was overboosting!) but the power is alot smoother now how it should be!

Enough of my N75 story lol. I have the 210 version. Ideally wanted to get a Revo remap but seeing as i've saved myself around £400 and heard no problems about Superchips i'm going to keep it!
