Hi there....I'm sure lots of us will tell you that the way the induction system on the S3 works,it does not use a dump valve....it uses a diverter valve.

The difference is that with the air mass measuring system on the engine, any air dumped from the induction system would cause fuel/air errors and thus the air( whose mass has already been measured)is diverted back into the induction system when the throttle is closed.

This system won't produce the sort of noises that you will get from a dump valve system, working on air pressure and similar parameters.

Forge do produce an atmospheric spacer if you really have to have the noise...

But using a decent CAI and diverter valve, the system will be quite noisy in any case.

You really need to research it a bit before going into things like "the turbo kit".....what did you mean by that?....a big turbo kit?...if so,it's going to cost a lot of cash, and you'll need to do it properly if you don't want to hole a piston or two.

Read a few of the turbo build threads here first.

Just remember though....sounds good doesn't equate to goes well or fast....we've all seen plenty of cars with noisy exhausts and dump valves that can barely pull themselves along.

Thanks S3 ALEX
No probs....

I've wasted a fair amount of cash over the years on bits and pieces, and going to the wrong places!

If it helps in any way,to save someone from the same....

Seriously though, all the guys here have been very helpful to me,and have pointed me in the right direction for a good few things.

I'm generally happy with my car right now, although with 360bhp,it now needs the suspension tightening up a bit.
