A3 1.6 Exhaust?

Is it right that when I rev the car to around 1500RPM, then as the revs drop to idle (600 - 800RPM) there is a slight rattle noise?

Also, Is it just me, or is the 1.6 Exhaust quite loud?

Your 106 or 1.6? If its a GX160 its not really the same car is it mate. And if u said that it was blowing, then I doubt mine is after 4500 miles! But ya never know mate!! U could always send it to Richard.

Don't get technical mate, my engine is always kept in perfect working order. My mates an enginner and he does the engine for me, maybe you should take it down to stuart, he knows what he's talkin abaut. He was telling me he got a g grade in engineering - f***king clever aint he.

Anyway mate, if not, take it dawn to audi get em to look at it, is it in warrenty?

sorry just got f***king waund up with other topic. Yeh mate, I look after mine, so if I were you, stay there and watch what they do. My car is a 106, but i'm looking to change it mate because it no longer impresses the lads at work. My mate the engineer has vxr astra sport, he said it's a 1.8T turbo.

I think I need a change, reversed it into F****CKING camping trailer other week and dinted 106.

Yeahh will stay and watch them if need be, but what if they need it over night? Are u seriously saying that u sit at Peugeot whilst they work on an old 106? Surely there are better cars, such as the new 107, 207, 307 etc...

as for the original question, your car is an 09, if theres a problem take it back! Try to blag a cool courtesy car and enjoy it while your rattle is being repaired FOC

Try hitting top of your wheel with your hand and see if you hear the rattle, if yes its most likely the heat shield at the back of the engine and you can sort it out easily by pulling the heat shield out a small bit, when it is cold obviously
