be careful Daz,shock can disguise injuries so don't be surprised to be hurting in the morning

A disadvantage to having 4 wheel drive, good brakes and tyres in the rain is that others dont!!

Dmage does not appear to be bad at all with only cosmetic damage to my bumper however i think there is damage underneath as when i hut my boot i hear a rattling behind the bumper.

Fortunatly he admitted fault and all his details checked out and the insurance have been great so far...should hear from a garage soon to have the car checked out and assess any damage.

claim ...........lol... ha ha ha ha ha ha

I am not suprised you stopped quicker than him. My push bike has better brakes than the Metro, sorry Rover 100,lol
Seriously sorry to hear about it, glad you are ok. Maybe an excuse to upgrade the rear bumper????

It looks like the bumper iron behind absorbed the impact like it should have.

lol, yeah the metros used to fold up into the boot if front end bang or rear ended boot in engine bay, they were horrific

Honestly i cant beleive how well made and tough these audis are.

I am still in abit of shock and my neck is hurting so i have a feeling it will be worse in the morning.

Hopefully the damage is minor and it has not affected the chassis, im sure a bigger heavier car would have resulted in far worse damage.

Need to have it checked out now and hae suspension, tracking, chassis all checked as well as the rear end.

Sod you...I'm in shock..

******. Sorry to hear this mate. Hope you get it sorted with the minimum of insurance aggro!

Sorry to hear about the car mate, i've just been ran into again today, only got hit a week ago, one good thing you cant see the damage on yours like mine.

thanks everyone, im currently sitting in pain as i have quite bad whiplash.

Isnt shock and adrenaline amazing you cant feel anything, ive been buzzing for 24 hours and i have had 2 hours sleep but i dont feel tired.

Feel like ive had 6 red bulls in one go, with the added back and neck pain!:ermm:

must be catching i was in a crash tonight some1 hit me from behind also lucky i was in my l200 warrior so his crappy escort came of worse in fact id guess written off lol

ive got bit more damage than your by the looks as it seems you have been lucky and got away with nothing

Hope your injuries are short-lived. I thought the government had banned Rover Metros...sorry 100's....from our roads?

Does the car have any visible damage?

Crashing ain't good for you. I had a lorry wheel and tyre bounce across the carriageway on the M5 motorway and side-swipe me.

Driver got stuck on, and I got £900 for neck injuries which bought me a new carbon bike. Yippee.

Pains and aches only came out after a day or two. Go and get checked out by your doctor to document injuries, etc,. Oh, and keep all receipts relating to this.

Cheers and best wishes.

:keule:

watch out with the neck, I got hit in March and am still suffering from pain and discomfort, the doctors reckon it can take a year to recovery fully, have stopped physio now and just have exercises to do every day, it's a right pain in the neck....literally...:(

Yeah already been doctors and he has advised me that my symptoms will get worse overs the next few days.

Im in the process of claiming for personal injury through my insurance solicitors, im glad i paid the extra for legal cover now!

Its weird my bumper only has a few paint chips and shows no major damage however you can hear that there is definate damage underneath as my lower rear valance is loose and when you slam the boot down you hear a clonking sound.

I also fear the impact may have damaged the rear suspenison or knocked out my wheel allignment.

:3sadwalk:

That's not good. Fingers crossed your insurance company sorts it out.

You didn't happen to put the driver in your boot did you? :eyebrows:

Hope you're starting to feel better bud.
Seems that there are alot out there, who just don't pay attention and tend to drive right up your rear.

There was an A4 in a smash near my work this morning, but looks like it went up the back of the other driver.

Well admiral have p*****d me off and made a monster mistake either that or it was intentional.

But when dealing with my claim they passed me onto there legal arm, a seperate company who deal with the recovery of uninsured losses such as personal injury, loss of earnings etc which is great right!!

Wrong!... these d***kh***s have also passed on my car repair to this company and this company have just sent me a vehicle repair finance agreement to sign before they authorise any repairs.

WTF!!! im a f****g fully comprehensive policy holder, clearly these idiots have put me down as either a third party OR an uninsured driver.

Luckily i realised this before i signed and posted anything, personally i think they have just passed the book to this other company and are trying it on.

Im going to tear them a new a**** h**** on monday!!!!

Anyone else ever dealt with Admi**al insurance.

Admiral & Direct Line are the biggest bunch of wxxkers you could ever want to deal with, abolsutely the worst!!!

I'm with Admiral, didn't want to but they were the cheapest at the time. I only had a few years no claims because I've had a company car. I wanted to pay by Direct Debit but you had to phone them up....found out why....if I paid Direct Debit I would pay £150 more!??!

I’m with Admiral fully comp, I had to make two claims in the space of a month L
They seemed fine although did send an assessor around the second time.

My advice would be do not use there repairer! You have the right to choose your own. I took mine to an Audi body shop. They will tell you that you don’t get a hire car if you don’t use their repairer. Well all Audi body shops will give you a courtesy car.

You mentioned about the damage from the back, and rattling etc, but have you checked the pre-tensioners etc? Did they fire? If so these also need replacing, and aren't cheap!
