hi I am in the process of upgrading my front and rear brakes with a big brake kit. I have read about all the useual big brands like brembo, Porsche kits and others., but have not found any info on CompBrake kits. I find there 4pot 350x32mm ( http://compbrake.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=3634 ) is selling at a very good price compared to all other big brake kits. Has anyone used this kit? it would be very interesting to have some info from anyone using this kit..
cheers:beerchug:

Ive not used these but i too am looking at upgrading my rears .
Im doing my own kit using S4 rear discs. i will be redrilling th PCD to 5x100 and then machining some caliper mounting brackets to lift the caliper out to sit correctly on the bigger disc.

Can you get a 2 piece disc set up for the rears? Either the same size as standard or a little larger?

You can.
ECS do one i think Jojo's car has them

CompBrake has a 333x20 2 piece vented kit for the rear using the OEM caliper, but I think that might be a little to extreme..

don’t know about the rear, but ill probably be going for the front 350x32mm kit that has 2 piece rotor at a very attractive price..
and by the looks of things ill probably be the first one trying them..!!

Didnt know jojo's were 2 piece.

My rears are 2 piece disks with spaced out standard calipers. I did it for looks than performance, it's overkill, but hey, my car stops pretty well, and some say the rears look bigger(308mm) than the fronts! lol

Caney over on ttforum.co.uk is running a compbrake setup on his 400bhp TT, might be worth pm'ing him and seeing how he is getting on with them. He previously had a porsche setup iirc so should be able to give you a comparison mate.

Jojo do you know the weight of a single rear disc of your ecs set up?

No, they are a bit lighter than the OEM rear disks if I remember correctly, nothing major on weight saving. As mentioned before, it's more bling than performance, unless you have Big Turbo power.

So defianetly lighter then? I just want them for the weight saving aspect more than anything, cant afford togo BT now for a while :crying:, my savings have took a big hit due to people not being able to drive

Ever so slightly, the ECS items are bigger remember, I would say they weigh almost the same so little is the difference.
