Best rims for new white s3?

Just bought the s3 in ibis white and HATE the standard rims..im thinking black rims with polished rim?!

Any help would be much appreciated guys!:icon_thumright:

All in the region of £2,000 with decent tyres so you have to really hate the 18'.

Tobycruse did a good job of having his oem wheels sprayed black, do a search and you will find some pics.

My favourite has to be BBS CK in anthracite too but I'll patiently await a 2nd hand set

here's also a set in anthrecite but id bling it up and go with the polished

BBS CH Black Edition or MTM Bimotos in anthracite by a country mile! I'm torn between the two. Waiting until the bad weather's over before I finally decide which to go for.

Those Work VSXX are far too cool for school! Unfortunately, you'll need to sell a kidney to afford them!

If you can afford to drive round in a £30k S3, then £2k isn't really a problem on rims..

I'm not too sure about the standard rims I have to say, but I think i'll keep them on for a while when I finally get the car, If I did change them then I'm a fan of the OEM look and would look for something like the new RS6 wheels if they came in 18" or possibly the new S4 wheels.

its the fad, all the kids are doing the Eurotrash look these days, and apparently sticking the wrong size tires on them is also cool...

each man to himself though I suppose, I stuck Orion wheels on a Mk1 Fiesta once, believe it not, that was cool too...

Thanks for help guys, but now im torn between soo many different sets now! I am swaying to the Work VXX..they do look the dogs do da's! Anyone know if you can buy them in UK? Ive had a quick look and they are mostly in america which is annoying. Cheers for any feedback

I'd say either MTM Bimotos as they are just lovely wheels or BBS CK anthracite!
But as Spin said have a search for Tobycruse car as that looked lovely with the Matt Black S3 alloys

Not sure if this is widely known but be careful of MTM wheels. My friend has them on his S3 and to date 3 of them have buckled. Not good for an expensive rim...

...but they do look the dogs *******'s!!

Hey i put BBS CK's in silver on mine for a lot less than £2k fitted.

Wheels from PW Motorsport (but "special" deal (on here a while back) was for silver only as Anthracite weren't in stock so price wouldn't apply to the the different colour).

Tyres from Ebay, all brand new Contisport Contact 3's. Bargain!

And fitting and alignment.

Only problem with CK is the tyre choice..as unless you want the tyre sticking out you have to go for 225 35 19's...The CK's look much better than CH in my opinion but there isn't much choice when it comes to tyres due to the offset. A few garages were quoting some very cheap prices on the Conti Sport Contact 2's- only £130 each fitted.

If you go for the right wheel the offset means you can go for a 235 35 19 which is a far more popular size and offers the same load index as the standard fit tyres.

I'm finding the 225's a bit squishy so far, but not sure if it's all in my head. But i won't draw any final conclusions until the tyres are scrubbed in and i have a proper chance to test the car out.

I love the polished CK too but Phil at PW motorsport put me off these a little as BBS don't have a very good history with polished rims, I k now I had my BBS GTi mk5 alloys changed under warranty and also the santa Monicas on my mark 4 all due to laquer peel.

Think im the only one who isnt too keen on the cks especially the polished version, not for me thanks.

The new style RS6's would look great in anthracite i reckon

FWIW this is the CKs in 18" ... I think they work okay, although 19" probably does look better. I got these partly because they were on my wife's GTI, haha, and also because I'm not too keen on 19" from a ride perspective.

While the CKs are okay (IMO) if you went for the CH Blacks I reckon you'd need to get those in 19", in 18" I reckon they look a bit too small.
