Turbo upgrade :)

I need a 3" MAF sensor housing.. can be a faulty unit as long as the housing is ok as my sensor will be fitted to it.

If anyone hears of one knocking about let me know.

Cheers.

I'm back on track with the conversion now and only require a few more parts however it will now be fitted to my new (purple/Byzan) A4 AEB.

I managed to get a set of Bosch red top injectors. They arrived today but do need to be sent away for cleaning. They should be about bang on for fuelling the T28..

Oh.. and I need a MAF housing (still).

I like the look of this if anyone knows of a UK supplier?..

Thats shiney, i like shiney. Where is that from?

I was thinking we needed to change the whole lot as our sensor runs out of puff at around 200g/s .

As far as I know / read its just the housing that causes the restriction. Not the actual sensor.

Maybe im wrong....

That's the impression that I got too.. as far as I can remember Jabba said to keep the sensor but replace the housing with a 3".

Cool even better, and cheaper,lol
Will buy an el cheapo clone from ebay and stick my sensor in, unless we can find that shiney thing over here.

My thoughts exactly until I saw that nice shiny housing.. I'll keep looking for a UK supplier but I've only seen it on US forums so far.

Magpie FTW lol

Just run with the TT or Cupra one no?

Thats what I have waiting to be fitted. Just need to get around to drilling my airbox out.

Id love the aluminium one though would be sweet looking.

Yeah they'll do the job just as well but don't look as cool lol.

The point is that when you fit a larger housing, the flow thru any one particular point of the housing is slower, so has less cooling effect on the wire, and therefore the maf's range is incresased.

the problem is customs tax now.

We need a EU company to buy them in and sell them on.

Maybe ask Awesome Gti to buy in a few if we somehow got a group buy going.

I have asked them if they already have a UK re seller or if they sell direct to us etc

Question asked, if you dont ask you don't know

What setup are you going for mate?.. turbo? etc.

Sorry if it's been covered in another thread but I seem to have missed it.

Price, availabilty, etc

i'd have thaught there are more T28's around than T3's these days?

Not many recent motors use T3's because they're laggy compared to a T28 with no power benefit, meaning your looking at old thinks like cossies and some saabs/volvos...

T28's are available off a few newer jap motors and seem like a better choice to me...

I am getting a quote to have a few bespoke MAF housings made up. I will ask for prices in stainless steel and mild steel as a comparison. The mild steel housing will require painting/spray finishing.

Is anybody interested? I need numbers for quotation purposes.

Cheers.

EDIT.. BYZAN A4 needn't reply.

Sorry.. my post was a bit misleading.
I already have the coupling and various other pipes.

The reducer is a different diameter to the rest of the pipes. It's meant to reduce to the same size as the elbow in the picture but they've sent it 10mm too big!!
