I reckon if you get quoted £200 and his work is good i would go for that, i take it you are doing a front end conversion ????, if so they would have to paint both sides of the bonnet as well as the bumper so anything around that price would be a good deal
For three hundred quid you could buy the equipment and paint and do it yourself, and save yourself some money. It wouldn't be too difficult since the parts would be off the car (presumably) when doing it. Different story whilst on the car however.
yea im doing the front end conversion, someone quoted me 220 for the bonnet bumper and spoiler but i dont know good there work is going to be i suppose it might be worth a try
Avoid 'rattle cans' as they are expensive will cost you a fortune, cr@p qaulity etc. Only passing on the advice as my bro's doing up an old camper and had the same predicament when a passing helpful chap from a bmw workshop made the recommendation to him.

If the guy has a car working on in the garage have a look at the quality of the finish of that particular job normally they are doing soemthing a bit more complicated so it would be a good judge on what their work is like
Yep - good point. Have a look around the garage for vetted 'Authorised Dealers...' signs too. Always provides a bit more confidence. As Funky says, have a look at the other motors he\she's working on - if they're all old rust buckets then maybe think twice..
