ok i put a custom air intake on today and was just wondering what the 2 iec plugs were for that connected to a metal thing on the orignal airbox! what ever it was the car wouldnt start unless i connected them back up to it again!

if someone could shed somelight if ihave done it right.

i removed the orignal airbox and unplugged the MAP sensor and removed the orgianal box. i put the k and N onto the map sensor and then connected the 2 plugs to the random metal thing. is there anything else i need to do as i dont want any problems?

You have to make sure its connected, bolt it to one of the old airbox mounts with a bracket or something.

I cant remember what it is though, ignition amp or something?

When u unbolt it from the original it comes off in two parts. I got the top bit connected is that ok

I think you mean MAF sensor. Map sensor is at the end of the intercooler pipes just before the inlet.

Depending on model and year, the sensors in the airbox are either ambient air temsp sensors or cooling heatsinks for some sensors.
