S3 vs TTS

2.0litre forced Induction 4wdquattro???,,,,did come to my mind !!!!!!!!

Oh and 2year old technology over 13 year old technology..

End of the day its a better car to be in(S3) but its half the performance car and to be honest with you, Ill pick the keys up for the Teg DC2 before the S3 thats saying something, although i am aware of it depends what people desire out of a car..Personally i buy a performance car to be just that:idea:
Its all about weight ...always has been, thats why a run of the mill £2000 bike will blow a £100,000 super car into the weeds :) Modern cars weigh far to much to be really quick, things like electric seats weigh a ton. I couldn't believe the weight of my FBMFSW when i fitted it !!!.
I always say its down to power to weight and its 10x cheaper to cut the weight than to up the power but it amounts to exactly the same thing.:yes:

Sounds like you are pretty underwhelmed by your S3.

Reckon Integras and S3 s are as different as you can get, my S3 and CTR were certainly poles apart. Which for me is a good thing.
HONDA `r` cars and premium VAG stuff are so very very different as you know. Going from a CTR to a MK5 Golf meant no more early morning frenzied drives to work, but that was fine by me.
Appreciate DC2 are even more hardcore and capable than CTRs.

Why not sell the S3, buy a nice used £12K MK5Gti and another DC2?

Then you will have well mannered, well built Hot hatch, and something that you enjoy? And probably some change?

Only car Ive ever had and didnt enjoy was a CRX, knew I shouldnt have bought it within a week of getting it, lived with it for a few months and then it was px-ed.
Lost a load a dosh but if its not for you then its a crap ownership experience.

REVO Stage for £500 make a significance difference though, worth the spend.

cheers

Paul

Aaah, geddit now (jetlag, thats my excuse):icon_thumright:

Its not that i don.t like it entirely, it just does not give me that buzz to drive infact its quite a placid boring drive, far too reformed in my eyes..:sorry:

Had it a few months now and it does not give that appeal to me take me out if you get me? :blownose:

Still a nice car please don.t get me wrong. But its Dull,underpowered and too refined for my liking,,,Girls love it though:hubbahubba:

Fair comment.

Dull = Nope
Refined = Yep
Underpowered = Yep (like all mainstream VAGS), £500 REVO sorts that.

Its not to everyones taste, I love mine. But I also said yep to the Carol Vorderman post....which isnt to everyones taste neither.

Danni - Yes please also

Got to say I think the TT-S looks absolutely stunning in all colours!

Not sure what I'll do when I sees my first TT RS!:hubbahubba:

Cheryl - definetly, twice and even if unwashed.
Carol, never really nasal voice and plastic bod.

TT-s yes definetly, it may be the same car as the S3 in many areas but its lighter, faster and looks fantastic.

I owned a 2.0T TT for a few months after my last S3 and that car got more attention than anything I've owned previously, a seriously good looking car and excellent fun, No porsche but neither is the price :)
