I found some cheap hoses on ebay £29.99 each set +£20 for delivery.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-A4-1-8T-...s_SM?hash=item2a0084006f&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14

I thought I would risk it and see what they are like when they get here.

I dont know if they have messed up but look what arrived 1 month later and despite all my emails complaining about the length of time and the ***** service I have just left them the best feedback they have ever had lol.

Ive just checked on there site and they dont sell these Samco hoses for the Audi A4, so im assuming the blue standards to them are the Samco ones they sent:respekt:

after the fun I have been having with my used turbo i got this has made my day

and to add to them, these came at same time:hubbahubba: used set of H+R £80,

did a bit of investigating with these because the bloke insisted they was for v6 Quat only but with the help from aragorn {thanks Kev} we worked out he had not bought the V6 to start with and he had the fwd 970kg as quoted on the site he got them from and the box they are in, so result again and buzzin my bits off.

now i can have a very good week end playing with this lot if i manage to get the turbo on and my car running first.

it may be worth a email to the ebay shop to see if they have messed up with the hoses or are they standard?
I didnt want to send them another email after some of the rather rude i have sent over the last month lol

Top work mate.. hoses look good to me!

Think you need a FMIC now.. where could you get one of them from? :eyebrows:

I have been looking at these hoses as well. Did you order just the Turbo Intake and get the Intercooler hoses aswell or did you order them seperately. On ebay these items are listed as seperate items.

Well, I've ordered my hoses. Got combined shipping of £32 for both items.

Just had message to say that the hoses have been shipped.

Just gotta wait now.......

Ok the TIP isn't branded SAMCO but that's the only difference, still looks like it'll do the job

One question though, when I was under the car before, checking hoses, I didn't notice this one;

any clues as to where this one goes, yes I know I'm probably just being a bit dim but hey, don't ask - don't find out :icon_thumright:

Doh, of course it is. Definate blond moment:nyah:

cool as mate, they didnt take that long then gaz.

its not a bad bit of kit for the price, they may be copies but if they are they are f***in good ones lol

Just spent far too much time fitting my hoses

Should have guessed that I may have some problems. On the TIP the fittings for the N75 and other connecting hoses where in slightly different positions so a bit a jiggling and repositioning of bits required, not too bad.

Got all hoses fitted then went to fit the 710N and to my horror it wouldn't fit. No amount of jiggling or pure brute strength was going to get it in into the hose:wtf: After what seemed like an eternity I had a Top Gear moment  Using an old spark plug tool I clamped it into hose, fitted a bit of spare hose onto the other end and fitted the 710N into that. It's only a temporary bodge till I sort something more suitable. Car's running ok apart from an odd whistle when I lift off throttle  I guess that's what you get for going cheap :p

i think its because there designed for early engines and the dv has been moved to a different location at some point?
i ordered a set aswell but still waiting because i asked for black so i suspect mine wont fit either

Cheap don't mean bad. I only want the TIP as i am hoping to go FMIC soon

Yeah, but you do get what you pay for I guess. All in all the hoses aren't bad. The TIP is ok, just the position of the N75 connection. I've got an N75J and the cable was only just long enough, the wiring connection on the N75J is in a different place than the standard one.

Any ideas on what could be causing my whistle noise?

Yeah, the DV just won't fit into the hose with mine, the hole is too small. this is the hose coming out of the turbo and connecting to the front cross pipe under the rad. The hose connecting the DV to the TIP is odd, it's too long and wierdly routed compared to the sandard which I have had to reuse. all other hoses replaced.

Oh, by the way Olds_kool, thanks again for the ashtray. All fitted and working like a charm

I was after fitting a FMIC to my TDI A4 (B6) - can you use an aftermarket FMIC designed for a 1.8T? Need the correct hoses too, is there anywhere were I could source these without paying silly pennies?

Any advice would be muchos apprecaited

Cheers
Rich

********.

Mine have turned up (I guess I should be happy with that) but they've not come stamped up with Samco... the TIP has 'Cool Nuts' stamped on it, while the rest of the hoses are blank... with no stamp what-so-ever.

But... the pipes seem to be quite good quality... so can't really complain.

Will try and fit them this weekend, weather permitting.

...that's why I put '********' at the start! :salute:

I'm sure they'll be fine though. :ninja:

mine have arrived, look very smart in black and all have samco logo's but im missing the little fat hose that goes on the oil seperator / breather thingy?, will get on to them and see what they say

have you fitted yours geeman? had a look at photos ive got from doing belt changes and the 97 aeb has the dv fitted in the tip, and my ajl (and the apu) has it in the bottom hose, i think ill try it in the tip and get a hose connector, shouldnt make any difference
