Gucci (i.e. Gorgeous, Sexy, Fabulous) S3 Seats(AKA S3 Bucket Seats)

I personally think £2.5k is expensive, what are the standard S3 seats worth? If you can get a grand for them after fitting the bucket seats, then £1500 is bang on in my opinion. :)

That would be IYHO & IMHO your opinion is completely wrong on this subject of value of these goods, but as Mitch quite factfully voiced & I wish others would aswell, the cost of the seats is £2500 each from audi, he has the whole damn interior, so how can you call them expensive, wake up & smell whats being shovelled on this & the other pre thread, clearly people dont know costs of such things & need a wake up call.

I'm not being funny but by definition, an opinion can't be wrong, it is just that, an opinion. But to some people £2.5k is expensive, that has nothing to do with what the seats are worth. A new Audi S3 is expensive, but it doesn't mean it's overpriced....

An object is only worth, what a willing buyer is prepared to pay for it, and every buyer is different.

To some people £10 is expensive! It's all relative to what you're referring to though. And because of that it has EVERYTHING to do with what the seats are worth. But then what they're worth depends on who you ask.

The price of an item, has no bearing on it's worth at all.

A man who is dying is offered a pill that can cure him, but it costs 1 million pounds. The price is irrelevant, he can either afford it or not, but the pill will always be worth the same to the dying man...

People perceive these seats to be expensive BECAUSE they're not worth their price. The price has every relevance in this case. I'm pretty sure there are quite a few people who have a spare £2500 knocking about AND would like the seats BUT they don't think they're worth that much.

Ok, this is going nowhere, there are two definitions of "worth", one is to do with the monetary value placed on an object to somebody, the other is the material, sentimental or emotional value placed on an object to somebody. I think you're using one, and i'm using the other.

I do enjoy a bit of brain exercise now and then, but definitely bedtime now!

And for what it's worth (no pun intended!) and to keep things on topic I didn't order the seats in my S3 because I didn't like the look of them, I didn't even get as far as looking at the cost of them!

Hi All,

This is my first post and I am new here. I did a lot of research on the bucket seats including this forum, dealer, aftermarket and decided to go and take the plunge and bought the seats from Mr Angry. I've just recently bought a S3 too and got the seats fitted today and they look abolutely stunning  and very comfy. Mr Angry was a really nice guy when I picked the seats and trim up. Will get some pics up later when I get the car washed, is in a slight state at the moment :(.

:sign_welcome: to the forum. What interior dids you have in the S3 before was it the black interior with the dimpled leather or the two two leather. Went i fitted mine I was lucky as the door cards were already black so didnt have to swap.

Presume your going to het the old interior on ebay to get some money back in.

Can you edit that post please Ashley so we don't all have to go through all the pictures twice lol

Nice colour, nice seats, paintwork could do with being detailed

Well, living in scotland, if i got the car detailed it will probably rain the next day if not the same day I get it back lol :ermm:. I appreciate everyone's comments, this colour was one of the main reasons I bought the s3 aside from performance and quattro.

Its a lovely colour, if your car is machine polished and waxed then the rain will run off the paintwork, what part of scotland are you in? As I can recommend people in scotland

Polished Bliss mate, they are the defacto in detailing as Nate will advise, they're up there aswell, cant do better than them.

Im from Glasgow and would definitely look into a polish and wax since a good cleaner called Prestige Auto Valet closed down. And can someone please recommend what I can do to treat and condition all the leather, I want it too look like new and soft again if possible.

Haz

Yes, Polished Bliss do some good work, give them a call today and you might get booked in sometime in August, that's how good they are.

This is very true, they are very very good & waiting list is deservedly

If your not prepared to wait for polished bliss, I have another friend in aberdeen, he is an excellent detailer.

Would you know of a very good detailer in glasgow, aberdeen is a far away drive for me :(

LOL, it will be filthy by the time you get back to Glasgow & if you use the A9 you may have lost your license too!

I seem to remeber a member from Greece was going to run through the streets of London naked if the seats sold !!!! :)

I'll be watching the news.

I'm glad it was a happy ending for all concerned especially as now I can stop thinking about those seats.

Yes I'm glad you brought that up, wasnt it ARISTOTLE, lmfao this should be good, so where is the man, come on you said you would now do the deed or was it all mouth & no trousers, lmao

looking very good

Polished bliss are indeed fantastic i had my last car done by them. Both my S3 and my parents TT are booked in for April. From what i can remember they used to travel to other places to do cars might be worth a call but be warned it costs alot im prob looking at 700 per car for mine.

£2500 no offense but i would expect them soft and looking new,, i was refrained to comment on this thread, as i love the seats and find the standard dimple seats so unsupportive when driving the car as a sports car?
Top of the range , Top spec sports car..nearly land on the passenger seat at times ,

Why pay £32k then have to position your buttocks for the bends to keep yourself locked as tight as possible? Rather be concentating on other things like entry and exit speeds

The only thing i was going to comment on was i would not have a problem paying a premium price in my eyes but they must be A1 as new , if such a Price is demanded ...... I would say £2500 k.... "your having a right bubble bath."

totally agree, hate to say it but id never pay £2500 for them in that condition! they look like theyve seen 30k+

I'm sure it has been posted that due to the shape of them they do tend to crease prematurely from getting in and out.

Top spec sports car..

Are you in the wrong forum? Seriously, S3s are hatchbacks with a bit of poke, I'd struggle to define them as top spec sports cars.

If you want to stay in your seat, buy a decent set of Recaros and a 5 point harness....and some skittles
