Well todays been a right kick in the b***ocks. Just been into work to find out im now redundant :banghead:, knew the company was heading into insolvency but thought i was safe, guess not. Should hopefully be getting some redundancy money bt the point of the story is, if i cant find a job in the next 6 weeks its bye bye s3 :sob:. To say im gutted is an understatment, i know ive had my up's and downs with it but i do love the car and not only that ive spent literally a small fortune on it to get it t the standard it is now and ive only just started enjoying it.
Well hopefully ill get a job soon.

I know your pain, I was made redundant 3 times in 4 years....which is why I decided engineering wasnt for me anymore and joined the darkside!!.

Just temp, anythings better than nothing, you could earn £250 a week answering a phone...it'll make your pay off last a bit longer. I had to swallow my pride and temp when I was waiting to get into the plod...had a right laugh and ended up in some interesting places! :)

Good luck with it, but dont be too proud to just temp...its very easy money. I even drove a white van for a couple of months...drive it like you stole it...everyone expects you to so its rude not to ;)

Haha i like your style tom. Yeah think im going to have to temp but i may come join the darkside, fancied it for a while plus there isnt exactly a shortage of plumbers at the moment with the ressecion and what not.
 
Wouldnt hold out for the redundency. Will be from the government no doubt and will take a couple of months atleast. Be the minimum too which is 1 weeks pay for every year worked for the company....Pretty poor.

Good luck with the job hunt. My brother is trying to get me to join the force with him....oh wait sorry they arent called that anymore....sounds too aggressive lol.
 
Im not, least if i get it then its a bonus but im not relying on it.
 
Dani sorry to hear this mate. I know how you feel i was left not working for nearly 4months!! My luck only changed last week when i found out i got a job and start next week. Just keep looking around and applying for jobs. Keep your head up and be strong. I was about to give up and just sell my A3 as it got to a point where i thought whats the point but glad i never. Every time i went out i'd see my car on the drive to which made me more determined to find one. Once again sorry to hear about this.

I got made redundant 9 weeks ago mate started with a new firm last week good really as I spent all my payoff. Now I might be able to get the audi out of the garage
 
Thought about that but dont trust the stealers haha.
 
niether do I but got it done for nowt :) they rang me about 2 tyres that were getting low but I had a pair waiting at home lol he even said he was the tyre technician :)
 
Really sorry to hear you find yourself in this situation mate!

I sincerely hope you either find another job soon or get something sorted out. Got my fingers crossed for you.

My Local Dealer are hopeless to the fact that i had to book it elsewhere after 2 phonecalls about booking too. Useless. It passed though :)

As Dani says though, stay away from the stealers!

Dont give up yet mate, I am in very simillar position, but life goes on, its been 5 weeks.. but got to keep your head up high, keep the car if you really like it, otherwise you will feel even worse once thats gone as well.

As above mate, hope you get something sorted, I was made redundant last year, got some temp work and then decided to go back to Uni, get a degree and wait for things to pick up. Hopefully you will find a way to keep the S3, I wanted an S3 for ages, so I sold my MK5 golf and bought one earlier this year, I thought life's to short, an S3 on a student budget at 22 can be done, I just have to keep off the beer for a few night's a week and spend the money on V-power instead:D!!

Its not good, but if the S3 is bought and paid for, and a known quantity, keep her and keep your chin up. A job will be forthcoming
 
Yup she is but its the insurance thats killing me, £227 a month.

Cancel your insurance and take the car off the road in the mean time, use your bike if you have to, you'll be back on the road in no time...
 
Good luck with it. There is plenty out there if you're willing to swallow your pride alittle, until something better comes along!

I was redundant for 10 months but worked part time in a pub and was in a lucky position of having sold my house and living in my parents holiday cottage. Found something eventually though!!

One of the best times of my life that was. 2 cars, lots of lie-ins and no hassle
 
Ahh that sucks. thats what i was going to say. just cancel your insurance for the mean time.
