AMD Technik Group Buy

I think AMD are doing 10% discounts or free fitting on exhausts anyway at the moment:
http://www.amdessex.com/products.variant.cfm?variantid=370

If you are not on stage 2 already have you considered getting the discount on stage 2 and getting the exhaust fitting with the group buy?

I'm on Bluefin and to get their stage 2 would cost only £50 so I I was to go ahead that's be the way I'd go. Their posted gains aren't as much as others remaps but I will ask if they're conservative figures. At the end of the day £50 is ****** all compared to paying to get stage 2 from someone else and paying to get their stage 1 too.

1. Just017 - AMD or Revo map, still can't decide

How much for a Milteck non res with the AMD map or Revo map?

10% off Milltek and FREE fitting with 20% off AMD or Revo

Its about 85quid off so £400 for AMD/miltek and £450 for Revo/miltek, with free fitting

Afternoon everyone,

Count me in guys, for Revo with SPS, I am coming from london, when and where are we going?

Do we get a free print out? of before & after? sorry if it has been answered already..

This offer open to all models?

I would like to get my 8L A3 1.8T non-dbw mapped?

Ben, what are the mapped figures like for a 2.0 170TDI with DPF? What differences are there between AMD and REVO maps? And how much would each be?

As stated earlier, details of what will happen next will be put up after tomorrows cut off and yes there will be a print out of before and after with each map.

The 170 gains about 25bhp and 40llbft of torque. Its best to ask people who have the maps their personal opinions and see what they say. Both are very good. Of our own maps we sell about 50/60 a month.

How much would the maps be for the Revo/AMD maps for the 170TDI?

Put me down for this pls .. stage 1 revo

Quick question guys.. i was thinking of going for the select switch but i don't intend on changing any of the settings.. If my car goes to the dealer wit the revo remap would it cause any problems should they require to reflash the ecu?

If the dealer re-flashes your car it completely overwrites the REVO SW on your ECU. Therefore the only way to get it back is to go back to a REVO dealer to load the SW back on. You do not have to pay for the SW again however it is down to the REVO dealers if they will charge any labour for loading the SW again.

The select switch will allow you to switch between different pre-loaded maps that are setup when you take your car to be remped, one of which will be stock.

should have my mate with 2005 TT Quattro sport joining this today too, will be a revo or AMD obv... he might even go with a milltek :icon_thumright:

Thats what i thought.. not sure if i would benefit from having this option as i cant see why i would revert back to stock

Ok I'm in not sure if it will be Revo or AMD's map though, any chance of a graph of each to show the diferences between the two?

Thanks ben@amdessex

REVO
couldn't wait any longer. love the price,

I was booked in for last Thursday, sneaky I know, but a 140 TDI is painful. Unfortunately the Milltek turbo back exhaust is not in stock and is being made by Milltek as we speak, so I must wait till next week when Ben lets me know it is in stock.

Got my done this morning at Sussex AMD, and guys WHAT-A-DIFFERENCE !!!

Hi Anton2015 did you get pre&post dyno print outs? and did you go with Revo? thanks..

Unfortunately not as they do not have rolling road at the site, but the result is defiantly felt since the first touch of gas. It was REVO all the way .... can't stop driving now.

The pleasant chap said it will be up to 200BHP as the engine is "loose" but need to change the sensor that measures the pressure of air coming in.

I might go to lakeside AMD just to get the RR done out of interest.

Nice one anton2015

I am glad you like it.
Just out of interest which site did you go to, as I am going to the one in Essex tommorrow mid day, I guess its lake side! so they should have a rolling road there..

thanks for the reply

Yes they do have RR at that site, Quite bugged me that i didn't have it done, but it's not needed for the remap and the difference is clearly felt.
I was also interested in the switch plus but turns out it's not needed for diesels.

Good luck with the remap tomorrow .... you will defo enjoy it :rockwoot:

Booked in for Wednesday:)
If Ben can't get hold of non-res system will be getting res. system instead - can't wait as trackday on Saturday :racer:

Just booked mine in.. been quoted £459 all in.. does that sound about right.. revo stage 1

I did mine yesterday, Firstly impressed with the performance of the car, managed to get 260bhp and 321 ft/pound out of her, however my pre-mapped performance was better than the factrory standard, thanks to milltek & forge DV, I had 225BHP and 217ft of torque, the only thing that put me off at AMD was, we were asked to not see the car close on the rolling road! for H&S reasons??!!?? oh and as for the petrol £20 of petrol 99 octane lasted 75miles! not so good. but god its nice. 2nd gear and above. paid £367 for revo stage 1 thats 20% off. took them just over 2 hours.

If you want a rolling road with the re-map you will need to come us in Essex. This GB was arranged to be done with the AmD Essex branch.

We can't have people walking around the rolling road room as its not the safest place to be! IF the car breaks the straps and comes off the rollers. Its going to hurt! If not kill you! this hasn't happend to us yet but it could and we arnt going to take the risk! Plus if you step on a roller while the car is being driven on the dyno. Your are going to end up in a whole world of pain!

Anyhoo, glad you are pleased with the way the car is running. As for the MPG, it will take a hammering while your getting used to the car being mapped, as you are probably giving it big beans everywhere at the mo ( I have four witnesses :moa:). Once your back to normall driving the MPG will be fine.
