It's the smallest and ugliest of the range, but I don't care, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd like to thank the bavarians for putting everything where I like it, and for still only driving the correct wheels

I'd drive that even if it had wooden seats and a dashboard made of poo. It's all about the drive, not what the ****** indicator stalks look like

Honestly, the inside of my A3 looks very nice, but after a year, I'm still not totally comfortable. Next!

It better be a freekin damn good drive and have earth shattering ergonomics then, and do 100mpg...

Not sure about about rwd neither, I tried reversing my last fwd car to work once and didnt really like it.

It's had a few years to grow on me. I reckon 98% of people here would be like 'what the f**k did you want that for, it looks like a shoe, the dashboard is s**t, it's 0.6 seconds slower to 60 than the A3, etc' but, it's my money. And I'm not comfortable in my car, so

The 1 series is the car I wish a liked the styling of.
Before the 135i I was always drawn by the prospect of hooning about in a 130i,.... then repelled by its looks. Shame.

I guess the VAG stable can be a bit samey after a while, the 1`er should give you some thrills for a while, at least untill your ready for another spell of ruthlessly efficient, surefooted, germanic, fancy dash ownership again.

Anyway, if a shoe was comfy enough for an Old woman and shitloads of kids then its Ok for HotBox:icon_thumright:

Im not a big fan of beemers but that is a nice motor, the red makes a nice change, normally see them either blue, black or that ****** horrible lime green.

&, had S4 V8 for 2 years, lovely car but V8 was lacklustre for me, just empty pocket from gas bill.

It shocks me how somebody can move from a V8 S4 to a diesel A3 as they found the S4 lackluster. My old diesel Golf was a practical car, but to me was the very definition of lackluster.

mate, luv the bmw. I had a E46 M3 for a couple of years, was an epic car..........and epic running costs. Drove around paranoid hoping it wouldn't break, but that aside they are something else. But have to say my S3 interior beats it hands down, however given the choice I know what I'd have. Just cant beat that v8 noise and power. enjoy pal.
