Hi Guys,

Just after abit of info......I own a 2005 A3 3.2 and was wondering if the S3 seats would fit straight in???...Cheers

Well every new S3 i've been looking in have the same seats..Not sure if they were sports or buckets. But they certainly seem to be alot better than the seats in my car. I want something to hold me in position more. And was thinking if the S3 seats would fit..
 
Well i believe you`re talking about the normal sport seats.

If so they would fit ok in your car (buckets would too) !
 
The standard S3 seats are the same as the ones in the 3.2 (Full leather in S3) Some 3.2's have Half leather/Full leather anyway, what do you have in it now because chances are it wont be worth the upgrade. I assume the S3's you have seen have these seats, if so yes these are the bucket option, very desirable and good luck finding a set second hand!

As a rule though, all 8P shape seats will fit in all 8P's, You only need to make sure they are 3 or 5 door specific.

They're not S3 seats mate, I think they're RS4s or something.

Just had a look on autotrader and yeah a 2005 3.2 would have had the same seats as the standard S3 ones. Although as Lee says leather is standard on the S3.

Although the S3 seats normally have leather inserts with golfball effect on them but I can't find a picture!
 
:hubbahubba: Oh it's definately the buckets i want. I've the standard sports ones...They're ok but I would rather have the buckets...And ......I've been doing alot of research and haven't found a pair for sale as of yet..!!

oh.....They are nice but I think i'll be getting a pair of nice cobra or corbeau recliners....Just as nice and alot cheaper...Thanks for the info guys....

Which ones? A few guys on here are thinking of getting Recaro CSs as they're the closest match to the S3 seats.
 
Gary, if fitting the sports type or buckets from S3 then they would fit perfectly into the fixings namely 4 bolts, wiring is mostly the same & maybe with addition or subtraction of a few wires, nothing impossible to resolve as I've done fair few changes to my seat wiring given I upgraded mine to leather/alcantara, only difference on buckets seems to be the exclusion of airbags, but that can be resolved with wiring/resistors & potentially coding (TBC), so find some seats then ask on the site mate.
 
Oh they are nice....Recaro CS's...I'll be having a pair of them as soon as I get my ins payout....:jump:

What happens to all the wiring from my original seats. Just get tucked out of the way...???
 
The R8 seats I have seen had little R8 logos on the inside of the bolsters :think:
