Has anyone had any rs4/rs6 style wheels off ebay??? if so would you recommend????

I recently got a 2002 a4 2.4 v6 cab and i want some new wheels not sure which yet rs4 or rs6.

I havnt personally had any of them wheels off fleebay but just watch out for real poor reps out there. I tend to go for Italian reps as I found they were the better quality out of any replica alloy wheel.Thats just my personal experience.

As for the Rs4/Rs6 - I say go for the Rs6 on a Cab.all the cabs ive seen with both types, the Rs6 look better IMO.The Rs4 mk1's look quite well on them.
If its the Rs4 (B7) then make sure you get a decent rep as some are really flat with no curve at all.

To be honest i'm thinking rs6. Been looking at a place called wheelbase.

Wheelbase is a good reliable company so Ive heard so you might be on the right track.
Get a pic up of your motor!

i put 18" rs6 reps on mine.

I was in wheelbase buying some wheels a couple of years back and a dude in there was getting some RS4 reps. I overheard his conversation with the salesman about where the wheels where made.

Basicaly he had been told over the phone, that all the reps were Italian. He lifted 1 off the racking and inside the wheel was a stamp saying PRC (Peoples Republic of China). The sales man fed him some line about sourcing all their wheels from Italy but there made in China! He got a bit of a discount for the trouble though and went away fairly happy from what I could tell.

Wheelbase is a decent place though, I've bought a set of wheels from there and prob around 20 tyres over the years.

1wheel - Ive seen your plate before but not on a cab, cant quite remember where though. Your only up the road from me so I may have come across it before.
Unless there is a similar one out there.

Did you ever had a Car in for repair in Sandicliffe repair center years ago???

j7, its been on quiet a few cxars now mate, are you on about sandicliffe in loughborough on the corner before b&q, if so my sisters car was re-shelled there so mine would of been there a fair bit as my wife was ferrying my sis about at the time, had car in for bumper repair over the road from there too.
heres one old gal, except she had the rs6's on, i swapped them over the day i got the cab.

IMO I would sooner buy oem wheels off ebay, and budget for a refurb if required, than I would gamble with unknown quality replica's.

I bought a set of oem RS6 wheels, two with virtually as new tyres for £300. They benefitted from a refurb, but it was far from essential.

I bought some reps from ebay which had been re-cond by a company called Powdertec, they were pretty good, my only complaint was the new powdercoat was very thick and I had to sand down the hole for the hub with a flap wheel and drill to actually get them to fit on!
I have a set of 18" RS6 wheels for sale, they need a recon but I beleive they are genuine Audi wheels.
If anyone in interested just PM me!
The reason I didn't keep them is because I live in a very remote part of the scottish highlands and there are no wheel reconditioning places locally, so it was cheaper to buy a new set off ebay.
:)

The 3series sounds familiar mate, might be wrong though as im talking around 8yrs since I worked for Ford!!!!
The sandicliffe Accident repair center was at Mayfield Corner Leicester (bang next to Victoria Park) so maybe ive just seen you on the Road, I used to do quite a few runs to the L'borough branch aswell so maybe. Defo seen the plate before though.
Thats some list you have there by the way.:)
Dontthink I dare to put my list on, too many Metro's, even a Samba would pop up.lol

the list beyond that would be full of young lad hot hatches that i owend before a mortgage put a stop to them, i even had SIX 205 gti's and a cti, renault 5 turbos , xr2's etc

A nice clean straight looking motor!
Set of RS6's will compliment it very well being as its silver.

I had some ebay RS6's on my B5, they were supposed to come balanced and did have weights on... but they appear to have been just randomly stuck on my a 2 year old. They were way, WAY off.

Fortunately the guy at ATS said it was more trouble invoicing me than balancing the wheels, so he did them all from free. Once they were done properly they were absolutely fine, very happy with them.

as above, looks nice and clean.
i live near a company called( jeff fowkes wheels and tyres) , always been happy with his stuff, he always sorts a deal out too.
id hurry up with the allys, it looks like its screaming out for some lol.
would look nice with a B7 rear light upgrade too.

Congrats on bringing another Cab to the forum :icon_thumright:.

Some nice new rims and the B7 Rear lights that 1wheel has already suggested will change the look of it no end. Be prepared that talking to us lot on here will cost you A LOT of money!!!! You'll get the best advice and a mod list as long as your arm.

What toys does it have inside ?

taylor, how desperate are you, are you wanting brand new?
reason being is that im going to go up to 19" next, but still spending on other bits at the minute but the 18" will be for sale soon.

Used in good condition with good tyres would be ok!
How much we talking?

three are in great condition, but sadly the 4th got taught a lesson by the bride ( on how not to park ) would need a refurb.
the tyres are all about 5mm but im in no rush yet mate as like i said still got a few other mods to do, it all mounts up mate, so i was going to wait a couple more months yet, but if youve not got yours by then, obviously you could have them.
the guy i get mine from allows you to trade yours in, so i would let you have them for what ever he offered.

Where can i get some b7 rear lights and how much am i looking at?

i think there about £95 each from the stealer, but there are some that pop up on ebay and they usually fetch between £40 and £60 per side, then you need the loom adapters, most people use the kufatec ones, dont, ( pm me for them ) the kufatec looms dont get rid of the top brake lights being half lit ( this is due to the b6 lamps having two side lights and the b7 ones only having one )
