I have an 06 plate TDi sportback with the standard Audi Concert CD player.
I feel limited by only being able to play one 70 minute Cd without having to fumble about changing discs.
I've seen a product called 'phatbox phatnoise' advertised.
Would I be able to fit this myself with the appropriate cables etc.or is it a dealer job?
Has anyone any experience of this product, or are there better options available?
What kind of task would it be as a DIY option?
Thanks for any advice and tips : )

Is there an Audi OEM unit that plays MP3 for a 53model A3? I currently have the Concert 2.

There's a USB reader that was an option on newer models that plugs into the CD changer ports. IIRC it uses the same principle as the iPod dock i.e. you can have up to 6 playlists with 99 tracks each.

There's a thread about it somewhere mate.

You can also get an auxilliary input adapter. Its basicly a box of electronics (slightly bigger than a matchbox but not as big as a fag packet) with a cble that plugs into the back of the head unit and makes it think that you have connected a CD changer. Two phono sockets allow you to then connect another cable that plugs into the earphone socket of an mp3 player. Works OK for me.
