Front Aero wipers

What do i need to put the front aero wipers on as the standard ones are shocking and have a MOT coming up!

you dont need anything to put them on. your old ones just clip off and the new ones go in the same way. its easy to figure out just by looking at the mechanism.

This depends....

Option 1 - Get some Bosch aero (retro fit) wipers available from most car part suppliers. These do not allow the arms to lay flat like the full kit would as the wipers are made for universal i.e (non) aero arm fitment.

Option 2 - Do it properly and fit the VAG aero kit, to include arms and correct "flat" blades from Audi/VW etc. This allows the arm to lay flat across the screen which looks 100% better. The polo 6n rear fits the S3 and finishes the car off nicely. It's not cheap. Around £90 all in front and rear with the blades/arms.

de wipered the rear so only need fronts, any idea on prices of those part numbers

If I remember correctly it was about £80 for all the parts above, so just for the fronts you'll be looking at about £50 but it will look nicer than clip in blades.

Call your stealer and ask them for prices. then let us all know

Try £80-90 for the fronts, for the rear aswell it's around £118, its a rip off.

I will be getting front and rears from the stealer once i've had my new windscreen fitted.

It is a bit pricey but I think the aero arms look better and my original wiper arms are looking very faded and a bit rusty in places.

Last time I checked with the local Stealership, just the front arms / blades came in at £80+.....

I emailed a few people that were breaking Golf MK4's on fleabay (2003 onwards for aero's ) and got the arms off them for £20 delivered. New blades cost me another £20 odd and that way I managed to get everything for just under £50.00.

I couldn't open the top link Paul but the bottom one looks like the standard arms. Email the seller and get the part numbers of them to see if they match those listed above to be on the safe side.

top was the same as the bottom, not many what look like hae the arms on ebay at the moment, just been on edition38 to send a few emails, supose ill come across them

Just buy new from Audi/VW. Best to have spanking new stuff i think when its only relativley a small amount of money we are talking about here!

Wipers matter to me as lets face it Wales is such a rainy place, i want non squeeky, smooth action, nice clearing properties when i get wipers.

I'll be doing this very soon myself so i'll keep you posted!

please do................... im in to mind, just you could save a few penny's and spend what you save on somthing else, and the product might just be the same, ony think ike that as have a list a mile long.

totally agree with you lads, but its like i say previously, also wanting my b pillars and other bits in carbon now so might try save some money, oh i hate waking up on a morning

well says 100% carbon but its wrap, with adeshisive on the otherside
