4000 revs when do you

You sure you havent got a derv haha.! Why 4000? If normal driving 2500, if racin etc 6500 and thats becaure my car holds boost till then, god no's whz.

lol no its just when me and mates are having a bit of fun (race) I hit 4000 revs and fill that there is no point going to 5000 because when I get there not much happens lol will there be more power at 5000 revs if I get a remap thanks

Ok so where is the peak power on a 1.6? Is there one....... anywhere????

lol that’s cool then I just thought I mite be pushing it at them revs

Dont worry about the revs mate you've got a rev limiter that will stop you ragging the nuts out of it. You want to be changing gear where your car cant produce any more power, which is about 6000 on your car if its standard.

Not too sure about a 1.6 mate, has anyone ever bothered putting a standard 1.6 on a dyno :)

Only kidding mate, not too sure.

Yeah, i'd definately be changing higher than that. My A3 150 T Sport used to hit peak at about 5500 before remap and turbo change.... Use the power!! :)

I used to change up in my old A3 1.8T at about 6000rpm, just before I sold it the car would do near on 70 in 2nd, I know the guy who bought it off me and the cars is still going strong...

peak power obtained at the bottom of big steep hills

LMAO!!! And in reply to Westle, someone somewhere must have!! Although whether it actually had enough umph to get a reading or not is unknown :) It's a good job it looks pretty :):):):)

i change up about 7.6krpm when giving it stick ;-)

3-4k normally unless something causes me to go higher. I never like to rev it passed 5.5-6 as it doesn't seem right. All the torque is lower down!
