audi upgrades
The fronts would definitely fit. Don't see why the rears wouldn't. A lot of people would pay that price for just the fronts mate so I'd be quick.

Rang the guy already, offered him £1500 for the fronts. £2.5k for whole interior - in the middle of a recession - best of luck to him
 
Theres always an S3 being broken these days, I hardly see one on the road but theres always one virtually complete for sale on ebay. Has the FB wheel with the airbag too so not been in a bad accident....mmm

This high spec 08 car (FBMFSW/Buckets/Bose must have been 30k new) always get written off and end up in a back street garden. They are never complete from salvage yards either, always pre stripped in someones kitchen and all parts mint. Makes you wonder! :busted_cop: Not that i'm accusing anybody of course, probably all legit.

Matt paid £1500 for the same thing about 6 months ago! If I don't source S3/RS4 buckets, I'll be going for Recaro Sportster CS seats.....

There was no way he was going to take that to be honest mate. They're pretty rare. And he'd end up with rears he would never be able to sell for a grand.

I think £2500 is about right.

I don't know what he'd take theres only 1 way to find out, I'm not paying over the odds for something. I'd say £1800 at max for whole interior as its mint condition not £2.5k, but if he sells if for that price, then fair play to the guy.
 
Is there any thing difference in the back seats to the standard leather seats?
Plus i'd not pay that you can get the front bucket seats brand new for £1,700

The back seats are like the normal leather apart from that they have the through load and arm rest as standard.

wow nate talk about stab zeshan in the back lol .....guess he was silly for posting the thread in the first place ..

tbh i like the look of buckets but i heard there a bit of a pain to get in and out id rather for that money retrim the whole car in 2 tone colour leather rear shelve and centre console included not available from audi of coarse would be much better and exclusive .... just my 100000th penneth

When i was interested in getting bucket seats for my old A3.
I contacted quite a few supplier directly for the front seats.

Get these ones off a ebay shop... A pair of Sportster CS seats in full black leather is £1900. Or Alternatively you could opt for the Ambla leather option which is £1515. Then all you need is the baseframe.
Matt got a good price for the whole lot!

But i dont think any one would go to Audi to buy these directly the price would be ridiculous! Those prices above....:faint:
If you go directly to the supplier this is another quote i got:
2x Recaro Sportster CS in Ambla Leather / Dinamica Black = £1560
2x Baseframes for Audi A3 = £246
2x Resistor Wires = £30
TOTAL = £1836

This is a good point.

The damage would have to be substantial to write off a 30K car.

And its not that easy to buy the totalled car back neither, as most of the time the insurance company will have an agreement with a salvage company.
I know because Ive tried to buy my old written off Corrado back before, and had to buy it via a salvage company. Who obviously stuck his margin on it where it wasnt worth me buying it to be repaired.

So where exactly do these parts come from?

I've just about given up sourcing a set for mine now and no way I'd pay over £2K, they are nice but not that nice. At this price it would make more sense to trade in my car and order a new one with seats then just transfer all the mods, Mmmmmm there's a thought....
 
I was gonna pm you spin with the link, but I wanted them for myself :eyebrows: But as you said not at that price, I wouldn't pay a penny over £1500 for them.
 
The best he's prepared to do for me is my front seats for his front seats + £2250!!! This guys smoking something!!!!:wtf:

£1500-£1700 is the max i'd pay but to be honest i strongly agree with you guys in regards to where they've actually come from....
 
Tell me about it Mart, detailing his car next week, I'll put up some pics. Seats have just taken it to a whole new level.

The S3 buckets, are they just specific to the S3? Do they have a model name?
e.g. Recaro 'Sportster CS'
 
Right gents you may have noticed that the other thread has been deleted.

I'm not keen on this guy judging by his reply to Spin140 and his unnecessary text to zeshan he's obviously a bit of a ****. BUT openly stating that you think that he's selling stolen goods is libellous unless you have some sort of proof.

You can comment all you want about his asking price but lets leave the stolen comments out please.
 
I can understand why the bloke would be ****** off but a person cannot be sued for liable for posting there opinion on an open forum or the internet. This has been proven in the courts as JBS tried this crap on with me a few times, the same as you are free to post and email any email or written legal document if you wish unless you have prior agreed not to. Something people might want to think about is as he is asking such a high amount for the seats they are more then likely not stolen as he has a profit to make. If stuff is stolen any money made on the sale is profit so you will tend to sale at a very low price. I like the seat a lot but not that much.
 
In my opinion the price this guy is asking is extremely high, however my opinion is not valid or in fact any other members on here as we are all idiots and geeks with nothing better to do than chat on internet forums !!! LOL sorry couldn't resist :)
