Hey Guys, this is my first post on the site, i've just sold my 350z to go a little sensible and i've purchased a 2004, A3 Sport 2.0tdi DSG, it was actually on the classifieds here so i went to look at it and purchased it :)

Well the story goes i didnt want the wheels that were on the car when i purchased it, so he popped some ' 18" RS6' wheels on, i didnt ask if they were reps but i've since found out that they are..

I'm a firm believer of a car sitting perfect on a nice set of wheels, i think these would look nice if they were in the arches a little more, in your opinion do you think these stick out too far ?

I'd like a set of RS4 Multispokes on it, all the ones i have seen look sweet, but i dont always know how much of a drop the cars have had to pull off the really tidy look. I have never liked rep wheels before, but what is the quality like ? Are they made of monkey metal and will just bend straight away ? On ebay companys are selling the RS4 rims from anywhere like 330 to 500, are they all made out of the same mould ?

What sizes will i need to pull off a awesome look, and what suspension kit (either springs or coils if needed ) will i need to finish it off. There will be no other cosmetic mods to the car as i think it looks great as it is.

I've seen these.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-AUDI-A3-20...ash=item5634d8f172&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262 would they be any good ? Sit in the arches perfect etc ?

Ok, thats that sorted, next thing is remap

I've rang Jabbasport and they'd said i cant do as much to a DSG A3 than a normal one as the clutches cant take it, has anyone on here remaped a DSG 2.0 A3? What should i expect to see from it ?

Some pics of my current wheels..

Sound like you got yourself a nice car! Who was the member you bought it off?
I think you should drop the car 30mm S-line only 10mm lower than sport. If you want springs i'd go for either eibach or some h&r springs for DPM. Or coilovers depending on how much you want to spend...Check the link http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/a3-8p-03-coilovers-c-1924_1941_2002.html

Reps quailty depends where they were made and the cost. I'd go for 19" over the 18" i have at the moment. Also 19" look much better on a lowered A3 rather than 18" well thats what i think any way.
Warren cox on here got some really nice reps from wheel base not too sure check the link http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=76020

You can remap a DSG A3. Just get the DSG remapped aswell. Quite few of the guys with DSG have done it and pretty sure they will comment on it. A3simon being one but he got S3 s-tronic (another word for dsg) and Nate (N8KOW) he got a 2.0tdi DSG mgith be worth giving him a pm. Also here a link to some photos of A3 S-line 04 with RS4 alloys http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=77676
Kaz he a member on here but sold his car. Thats on standard s-line suspension 10mm lower than your sport set up now.
Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply, so is Kaz's car sitting on 19s or 18s? I'm thinking of going for the 19s now like on the blue one in your links, and then going for the kw springs, to drop it 30mm ?

Will that rub?

What exact wheel sizes will i need ? Any links for the cheapest places ?

I'm not too bothered about performance rubber.

Hopefully someone will come along saying they want to sell theirs, and also more info on DSG remap :)

I'm not sure what the members name was i brought it off, i think its still in the classifieds, needs taking off though as ive brought it :D

Hi Dave

Sorry just getting back...I do believe Kaz car sitting on 18"....But im sure he can confirm when he see this thread or send him a pm. Ithink 19" looks overall better than 8 and when lowered right the stance can look perfect and really set the car off. Yeah KW springs are good. Rubbing depends on the offset and ET of the alloys which to be honest i dont know much about:blush:. So will have to wait for one of the other guys with more knowledge in that to say.

I think every one been busy over the weekend to do with edition38. Hopefully some one will be able to answer your DSG remap answer.
Ahh thats fair enough i do like tjhe RS6 alloys. You could sell them aswell.
How you finding the car Dave? Does look nice from the photos.
Go on wheelbase website on google i think there qutie cheap also do a search o nhere RS4 alloys as i know a member did buy some off ebay and they didnt look that bad. Looked like a good design but this was a few months ago.
