Hi Everyone I'm new to here so maybe I should introduce myself 1st I'm from Northern Ireland, my name is Simon and I'm 18 years old.

The first thing I did was I had to tax my car which I got the car registered in Northern Ireland so I got a Northern Irish Reg. Then I purchased a set of Mercedes 19" SLR Turbine Wheels
SDC10144.jpg

Then I bought some Carbon Fibre Mirror Caps, although they have not been fitted yet.

Then I sprayed my Audi badge graphite, and removed all badges and inscriptions on the rear.
SDC10184.jpg

Then I bought some coilovers, was very ****** off when I bought these as they took a month to arrive

Also on the day I was fitting my rear coilovers my metal German Number Plates arrived

Then I ordered a Bonnet Bra and it came on the same day as i gave the car abit of a clean so i got quite a few pictures:arco:

Some things I forgot to mention was window tints all round and a remap ... it was originally a 2.0TDI 140, now 195 BHP and 415 NM

I no it may not be to everyones taste, especially the Bonnet Bra, but I like it.

This is still a work in progress by the way, an S-Line front bumper is sitting in the garage waiting to get sprayed along with all the foglights, grills etc, and I'm thinking doing something different with my lighting but you'll just have to wait and find out, the car is being dropped slightly more next weekend so I'll get somemore pictures next weekend so let me no what you think so far.

Looks nice

Not sure about the bonnet bra myself  but as you say, you like it which is what matters!

Maybe you should de-chrome your grille next? ;) And twin exit exhausts too....

(Wish I had your money at 18)

She looks really clean, I love the back with no badges, the german plates look class and I know I need some 19's and coilovers now. Carbon fibre mirrors are a nice little touch.

Did you put spacers on the rear? they seem to fill the arches out nicely. And how hard was it to install the coilovers? Hows the ride compared to standard?

You could fit a Rs4 rear anti roll bar to make it handle better if you wanted.

Well wear anyway

Thanks mate but the money disappears quickly with a car like this lol well I have a S-Line front bumper waiting to go on the car so when it's being fitted the chrome on the grill is being sprayed gloss black, I hate Audi chrome it's absolutely **** :banghead:

Well just in the house there now and I got pulled by the fuzz for my german plates tonight so there going to have to come down now :beee:

As for the wheel spacers yes there is 5mm spacers on the rear only the fronts sit just fine

To be honest and I don't no if it was just the way we went about doing the coilovers but they were a awkward ******* to fit it just seemed like I couldn't strip enough to get the springs out

The ride quality hasn't been drasically changed, sure you feel the bumps in the road but it isn't hard or boaty

I hadn't considered a RS4 RARB but I might now ... are these hard to fit and how much money are you talking for 1???

Im looking at fitting a RS4 Rear Anti Roll Bar and i have been speaking with 'pjmspeedy' and he can get hold of everything for £75.70

RARB: (x1) = £59.36ea
Bushes: (X2) = £2.80ea (£5.60)
Bolts for Brackets: (X4) = £0.93ea (£3.72)
Bolts for ARB links: (X2) = £0.51ea (£1.02)
Pipe Clips: (X2) = £3.00ea (£6.00)

Edit: i have an avant so not sure if this would be the same for you

It costs a bit more than above from a dealer, and avant and saloons are the same I think.

I really want some coilovers and 19" wheels now, I'll have to wait until the end of the summer though for some money for them. Are you going to get some metal pressed plates or the normal plastic ones now?

Get some pics up when you have the bumper on.

Nice car for an 18 year old, Good work

I don't like the way the bra spoils the lines on the front, but it does protect from stone chips etc. Nice stance, i wouldn't bother going any lower you will spoil the handling

Nice clean car but its too low, the bonnet bra just looks daft and the Merc wheels dont suit the car...but everyone to there own tastes and all that.

Mint car for 18yrs tho, I had a crappy Escort at that age...right nail it was too!

merc wheels on an audi?? maybe u can change the centre caps...

also what actually is the bonnet bra for?? just looks like u have run over a hells angel...

Nice to have decent car at low age isnt it. Shame about our insureance tho....
Back looks great but the front looks odd with that bonnet bra....Not 100% sure on the wheels either but that me and im fussy!

been awhile since my last post but got pics of the progress

got new custom springs for the rear giving a 140 mm drop
new black edition front grill

Thats sooo low nice work !
What was the ride like before with the ap`s ? I keep banging on about lowering my car with springs but then keep thinking I wont get it low enough and the shorter springs will just kill my shocks. Then thers this little voice in my head thats saying why lower it its an sline and they are low enough !
Love the black grill I want that and my milky window surrounds doing gloss black really gets on my nerves every time I see the milkyness !

So whats next for yours?

mate car looks good.i got same but a 115bhp.

what did you need for s line front end?

how are you finding the new headlights? seen them on ebay and thought long and hard about buying them....they look great, I'm just curious as to how they look illuminated and if they throw any warning light etc.

Looking good there mate. Need some n ight shots of them in full glory though...

thanks everyone for all the feedback on the car so far

marrow i think a boot build is next in the run up, then a cupra r front splitter

nsd you need the bumper (of course lol), front grill, fog light surrounds and fog lights and number plate bracket

the golfather yes the bra has gone but i think maybe a black roof can make up for it what do you think?? lol

andy d the headlights are great and there is just as much light off them at night as the old headlights

marc1 i'll see about getting a couple of pics tomorrow night of her in full glory lol

there will be more progress next weekend... making a boot build incorporating two subs and a 600watt amp but will be doing a little customising with the subs :rockwoot:

hi , looks good mate... i have just order my front black out grill . how much did it cost you to chip your ride there mate. and is it any much quicker than b4?

jaceyq i got mine done by autotune in ballymena for £160 but i got discounted... improved it big time though well worth doing

Just saw this thread. Must say some tasty mods done to this car. Does look really good and has come a long way from standard. Cupra R splitter will finish the front of nicely also a black roof would look wkd!

hi where did you get the black out grill from .. or was it professionally painted by your garage..

ive been told a petrol s line bumper cannot be fiitted to a diesel.?

Never heard of that mate...I know thats not true with the A3. And i dont think A4 Diesel are built any different than petrol one. So you should be able to fit one. But not 100% sure so pretty sure some one who done the conversion will be able to answer your question shortly

You can get them from Audi or ebay. I sprayed mine a dark grey to go with lava grey A3. Had to put a few coats on mind. Or if you dont want to spray it or by a optic grill from Audi or Ebay. You can vinyl wrap the grill.

i was asking about bumpers because someone said the diesel has a bigger intercooler and petrol smaller one. so it may need trimming if a petrol one is used.

ive debadged the rear but the audi rings have left alot of glue whish is hard to get off.any ideas i dont want to damage paint.

thanks

yea mine is a petrol bumper on a diesel but its alot of trimming around the bumper to fit

i used autoglym tar remover is excellent pretty much same as petrol though it took alot of time and patience to the glue off and also if you have a heat gun it would help soften the glue or even a hairdryer
