Hi i have a Audi a3 1.8 turbo and when i got the car was about 105,000 miles.I have had the car about 1 month and now its on 110,000.

I drive a bit but in that time i have been able to hear a noise from the gearbox, when u put your foot on the clutch the noise goes away when u bring it back up the noise comes back.

It is very quite u have to put your head on the gearbox to hear it loll. However when pulling off quite quickly i hear a whining noise and when slowing down with the foot off the clutch just rolling in 2ND or 1st gear you can hearing whining noise too i don't know what this is also some times it wont go into 1st u have to take your foot off the clutch and then put the clutch in again then this is fine. :(

I Would like some information please, anything you can do would be great. what do you guys think this problem is many thanks

I had similar on an car I used to own, the thrust bearing in the clutch was ranted. Got it changed and it sorted it.

I dont know enough (cant work out exactly what your saying) to know if thats the same problem with yours though.

Have you got any feedback through the pedal that you can feel on your foot when you press the clutch?. Had the oil changed in it lately?.

D00de, this is the forth thread you have posted on the same subject....

It's because you type in text speak. You have a full qwerty keyboard in front of you. If you want an answer please write it in English and you will get an answer.

I have edited your post to make it legible, so you may get an answer now.

The simple answer to it is, if the oil is low it may whine. If however its full, then the only way to stop it is to replace the box as the gearboxes are fragile on the a3s when not looked after

y were here how u drain the gear oil and how do u find out how much is in there

Yet again i find myself asking you to not type text speak. Your post WILL NOT be answered as a lot of the guys on here cannot read it, or should not have to read it to be honest. You have a full size keyboard, use it.

Go to Halfords and buy a Haynes manual, all the info you need will be in there...levels, what oil, how to fill it up etc etc.

thanks for the help guys would of been good if some one anserd my question

Haynes manual is worth its weight in gold, get it bought....

The noise may be the release bearing... gearbox off to change..

Your question would have been answered had it been typed in English.:rulez:
