A good photo hosting site?

I have been trying to find a good site for hosting my photos. Obviously Photobucket and Flickr are the biggest names but PB reduces the file quality and Flickr has a monthly upload limit of 100MB.

I have been using this page on Wikipedia:

but it's a bit out of date so I don't trust the info on there.

What I would like it the ability to upload unlimited photos which retain their full quality, can be put into folders/albums which can be individually password protected for access or uploading. A total limit of 10GB+ would be ideal and I don't mind paying a subscription.

Any ideas anyone?

Flickr has a monthly upload limit of 100MB.

You can get a years subscription that removes that limit and gives you unlimited space, costs about £14. Sure the photos get resized but you can set them up in albums or sets with restrictions on who can see them.

If you have some free webspace try downloading an album generator: http://www.ornj.net/webalbum/ it saves you the hassle of learning HTML.

I really need to be able to retain full image quality. My girlfriend lives in Germany so whenever we have pictures to share it's either share them last minute before we part or send them via disc, or rapidshare a zipped folder.

I want us both to just upload them to an album from which you can just download the full quality pictures that you want.

This weekend I went away with my Dad and Sister and I want to be able to do the same with them too as all 3 of us had cameras.

I thought about creating my own site and I know a bit of HTML but surely there's a site that lets you do the same with ease!?

My Dad uses mobileme but the main site is always down and it's a bit finicky.

I looked for a pro version of Flickr through their homepage but couldn't see it. I just Googled it in case I was being a mong and they do have a pro version!

Ive used Flickr Pro for about 4 years and the fee is well worth it, I must have nearly 2000 photos there, failing that you could always ftp your photos to your isp's webspace...

I hadn't realised you were in about Flickr pro. I've signed up to it now. My ISP is O2 who don't provide webspace.

I'm making use of the Flickr upload tool right now and have sussed out the Download them all plugins for Firefox too it's a bit silly that Flickr doesn't give you a download all option though!

You could use imageshack, or if you have your own site I could help you set up coppermine.

You can password galleries and host large sized images, I reduce mine to 1500 pixels along their longest length as my RAW images are 20+ mb each and far far too big for a monitor.

My host allows 25gb for 3.60 pm. You also get email, php, mysql, blog etc....

I think Flickr pro seems to cover everything I want apart from the download a complete album (set) but I can get around this with the Firefox plugins. For my Dad I'll just have to RAR them into chunks and Rapidshare them. Or he may only want one or two so he can link to the original image of any he wants and download them at full quality.

Picasaweb is quite a good free online host, You get 1024 MB free which is decent!
