RS4 B5 Pre-Cats

Hi guys just find this out from the USA forum that the RS4 Pre-Cats are 400cel some as S4 and I was told that the RS4 B5 Pre-Cats are 200 cel am I missing something here

Details:

RS4
Diameter = 2.3inch inner diameter
Pre-Cats = YES
O2 Sensor location fore and aft of cats = YES
Test Pipes = NO
Flex Joints = YES (metal mesh/bellows-type)
Cat Type = Precat-precious metal, main cat=ceramic 400cel

I am asking this because I found a RS4 Pre-Cats for £150

afaik its the main RS4 cats that are 200cell not the pre-cats.

You really dont want any cat hanging off the turbo like that, get a set of XS Power downpipes from ebay, they're about £130ish iirc, and then get them mated onto the front of your existing system.

Cool thanks for clearing that out :thumbsup:about the XS Power I asked the seller about the downpipe if he just could sell the downpipe only as I don;t want the di-cats and I am still waiting for the reply

By the way if I buy the XS Power down pipe then can I just welding it to my powerflow exhaust system or do I need the fitting parts

When you say you found rs4 pre-cats, do you mean the whole downpipes? Cos you can just buy them and gut them, good for 400+ brake

Yea its the whole downpipes for 150

still need to go thru the hassle of gutting them, but it might well be the easiest option to get two shiney cats

Yea you right that would be easy option but costly one to me as I already get the de-cat I just need a downpipe with 2 sport cats.
