Hi i have just installed the rear led lights from KUFATEC (2008 sportback )
They went in no problem , but i need them vag com coding to clear the bulb error in the display. Any one that can do it local ? , theres a drink in it !

I am going to get a lead my self but have to wait on delivery , so as of now my rear indicators are not working fully because of the faulty light in the display.

That would be great if some one can help me out ?:respekt:

Me :p

But you dont need vagcom to clear the bulb light on the dash - it should go off once the new bulbs are fitted - you sure its wired in right.

I done Blazin's not so long ago and his didnt have any dash errors - just needed to code them via vagcom and it worked.

PM me and sure we can sort it!

In Old Trafford BTW - not far from United ground!

N8 that was one for you to do slick, get vagging you lazy rse

LOL - Nathan - Your on the forum of the car im planning on buying :S We'll user name is anyway (N8KOW)

Welcoem back Nigel :D

Kaz, its been to long, the heartache was unbearable, lol, sleepless nights & all, lol

LOL - you guys! Nige - Understand ur pain mate - it breaks my heart too as i've left the Audi scene but cant bare to leave the forum... :sorry:
and Nathan, find your cable mate as you can have a go next...

The guy came round and it didnt work though.

But the bulb errors came on the dash and it doesnt look like there's a kufatec loom in place.

Anyone got pics of what the Kufatec loom looks like fitted to the lights as im pretty sure the bodyshop who fitted his lights didnt fit the loom :S

It coded up fine but the indicator and other lights were still on but the LEDS werent :S

***EDITTED as god knows where half of my first line went :S

Thanks to kaz for the coding , we are thinking there is no ****** loom in place, if you want a job doing , do it your self.
Thanks again

So they plugged & played or not as such, lol, typical, from an early age I always work by the routine of test your work before putting your tools away, how could they of tested if it isnt working.

I now really need someone local -ish that can fit the lights as after seeing the instructions i do not think that the place i went today would do it.. as they have already shown , that they do not know how !

Can any one please fit them i am happy to pay , i just want it done now

Thanks

I know someone in derbyshire whose done them few times who would do.

I've coded it with this:

Byte 9 to Dec = 0 - as the final brake light
Byte 10 to Dec = 0 - fog lamp as a taillight
Byte 12 to Dec = 36 - dimming rear stand light

Dont delete the original code mate - make sure its saved in your phone so you can put it back to standard!

I thought the loom is plug and play though :S

It just goes inbetween the connecting wires as far as i know :S

I done Blazin's an his worked fine so there's no reason why yours shouldnt - its got to be the wires mate...

there is aditional work , from number plate light > to outer lights

Ahh right - As before, Blazin did the wires on his car and i just coded it.

I thought it was plug and play but obviously not!

Im sure i can give the wiring a shot but never done it before but Nathan has them on his A3 so better of going with him. If you have probs, Use Matt (Derbyshire) and failing that use Blazin and failing that, I'll give it a shot :D

Nathan should be able to sort it though (providing he finds his wire). I did code it but did get errors as the lights werent wired up properly..

It should get sorted..

IIRC without the loom the lights wount work at all as the plugs are different. The looms are handed ie left and right they look the same but the pin configuration is different. So may be they installed the looms on the wrong side, did they wire the middle leds to the number plate lights. I hope you didnt pay them

Im the other side of Buxton, 10mins from

This may possibley be the prob as the LEDs didnt light up at all.

And i doubt the number plate one is connected either as the LEDs didnt work on the lights on the bootlid.

whos the best ! ?

Me, if you drive to Venice, Italy, lol, dont trust these northerners with wires, cows maybe or sheep in N8's case, lol

Nah Matt is the one up north to do for you as I'm in the south anyway when in UK or I'd help.

Right - between Me, Patrick, Matt on the phone (and even a call to Nathan), we still didnt sort it :S

So he's going off to see Matt and we're pretty certain he can get it sorted!

Been a right nightmare these lights!

i agree NIGHTMARE !

We are 100 % with the wiring , as of now when the side lights are turned on the led lights are on and also the 3 bulbs in the outer lights as well.
Waiting to here from Matt , and will up date after.

Well looks like this one has beaten the forum , as i have no idea where to go from here apart from take it into audi , although i am sure they are going to question if they are a retro fit.

If anyone is confident they can code them to work this weekend i will pay a handsome fee. To much stress now for me the novice !
