2.5 tdi gearbox tdi

Hi Guys,

Got a a4 2.5 tdi cabriolet auto. Lights on the dashboard recently came up and car was taken to Audi who stated the gearbox ecu needed to be changed. Cost - £1300.00.

Does anybody know where this could be done cheaper?

Where are you based Baz? Theres a multitronic specialist in Milton Keynes worth a try, you'll have to google them as my main pc is down so can't post you a link, if you're aroun the midlands I can recommend an audi indy who knows all about this problem as he's just had to change one in his own car! Don't bother with the breakers mate, they are programmed to your car and are only available from the factory in Germany via a main dealer at a cost of around £800, then its around 6 hours labour to fit it

... my main pc is down so can't post you a link...

you need Foxmarks / Xmarks.... allows IE and Foxmarks to cache all your bookmarks online and auto-sync them back to multiple computers (or jsut go online to look them up)... I think there are profiles so it doesn't sync ALL your bookmarks to your work PC
