Seen some good looking carbon wrapping on Edition 30 so thinking I might have a punt.

B posts, grill surround, perhaps door mirrors and an S3 boot spoiler for my car.....maybe even the roof at some point (fancy a change)

Opinions..? Yes I know stick on carbons very chav but some of the pics of this stuff look awesome..

Here's some pics I've lifted from the thread...

You can even laquer it

You can get different finishes and colours too, just food for thought as there's been a few carbon related threads on here lately.

Id quite like the front chrome grille surround and 4 rings in carbon!

I think subtle wrapping would look rather good, got some plans on with my wing mirrors though.

That all looks pretty good - loving the mirrors, if the ones I brought don't work out then I may turn my attention to ?E30? - (thought it was Edition 38? - the guys that used to be in all the mags for doing-up Golfs? )

Is it just sheets of CF Tom, or wraps cut to the right shapes? - got any links you can share?

TIA

I like the looks of it. Wouldnt mind that carbon wrapping on the RS6 and Scirocco look nice. The carbon effect would look really on a A3 or S3 grill.
Not too sure on the last picture of the wing mirrors looks to shiny and cheap. But in all the other picture the finish looks great and good quailty. Wouldnt mind some carbon mirrors or a spoiler or grill go nice with my lava grey a3 :) I really should stop coming on ASN the mod list seems to never end =[ lol
I know Toby on the 8P Section was thinking about getting his bonnet and boot lid done on his Ibis White S3 but made out of carbon.

It is off edition 30, I'll get some links.

You buy it in a roll and its pretty cheap for the amount you can buy too :)

Carbon looks cool but Im of the opinion that its used for its strength and light weight.

Maybe small parts yes but never a whole roof.....Its allmost like claiming to be something its not. You are afterall actually adding weight lol.

Sorry senior moment, its off a thread on Edition 38. I'll get some links up for suppliers etc. etc.

bt it takes a few go's when ive never used before, the thing that orries me as i mean' the shape of the mirror cutting and folding it, bet its a pain in the ***, defo want my mirrors doing. you got the link so i can have alook

You can of course buy the stuff yourself for not much money and do it al your self....I wouldnt pay someone else to fit it.

Just doing some digging to get the supplier details etc :)
